I agree with English being arrogant but sometimes take it with a grain of salt since we are all pretty sarcastic fuckers And the men are awful at winning world cups. I take my hat off for the ladies, they did a damn good job, that last penalty made for great football viewing!

Definitely root more for the English women than the men. I have England above Germany though. I wont ever root for those fuckers.

As someone who didnt really have a team to root for there, I didnt really care truthfully but on the other hand, I admittedly dont really often root for England as a country. I do root for specific athletes from England in various capacities, but when it comes to football...yeah the English as a whole are a bit too arrogant for my tastes, so I generally have a laugh when they lose. Alas, they did win this match. Hats off.

Yeah, living in Ireland means I don't root for England either in International competitions... for obvious reasons lol
So I do have a bit of joy when they lose.
As for the Women's team, I think the Women's side of football just hasn't progressed in as many countries as the men's. It'll take time, but I think it just needs more competition from other countries.

USA, Brazil, Germany, England, Spain are often the best when it comes to Women's football. Followed by Canada, Japan, Sweden I think?
