Ranch water is a Texas specialty: its typically tequila, lime juice and sparkling water.

I admit, when I first heard of it in college, I recoiled, cause the name sounds disgusting. I'm still not a fan (I hate tequila) but it is refreshing.

There are several versions of the drink. It was invented over 100 years ago as a hangover drink. The one I find great as a summer cocktail is Corpse Reviver #2.
It contains equal parts gin, orange liqueur or triple sec, Lillet Blanc, lime juice and a small drop Absint to cover the inside of the glas before the drink is poured into the glas.
