🌟📬THE JULY PM CHALLENGE📬 :: Year Five📮🌟

Day 25 PM sent!
I think I've shared my worst date story before.
At first I thought it was a pity date... that she wasn't really into me, but maybe figured she could have a not terrible night and get some drinks and mozzarella sticks or something. I let her pick the restaurant. And after a few minutes it became abundantly clear that it was NOT a pity date. She had something else entirely in mind. One of the bartenders at the place she picked happened to be her ex-boyfriend. And she was trying to get visibly physical with me just to make him notice and get jealous. I'm all for physicality with attractive women, but I had zero interest in being a prop for her little telenovela. I'm naturally introverted and often come across as stand-offish, but it's rarely intentional. This time my stand-offishness was 100% intentional. I don't think that particular date lasted more than half an hour.

PM CHALLENGE - DAY TWENTY FIVE

PM at least one Litster and ask them on a date you've planned!

1. Plan the date! Where are you going to take them? What will you eat? Will it finish with a chaste kiss or will you invite them back to your place? <eyebrow waggle>
2. The fun is in the details on this one! Pictures or links would be a great accompaniment. If you plan this PM right, it will feel like the two of you went somewhere.

3. Once you've sent you PM invite, come and tell us about the worst date you ever went on and collect 15 prize tickets!

I've asked but as expected no response - which is actually fine cos reasons but you made me ask. 🤷‍♂️

Done!

Easily the worst was a date to a Halloween party. It wasn't the costumes or anything like that, that made it bad. My date decided he wanted to drink Jack Daniels out of business.
Once the paramedics took him to the hospital to pump his stomach, I went home.

Day 25 done

My worst date has to be with my ex. We hadn’t been together very long and he took me to a restaurant called Clowns. We walked in and there were ornamental clowns everywhere. There was even one cycling across a rope above our table. I am petrified of clowns so I spent the whole evening barely eating anything and just wanting to get out of there

Did he know you were afraid of clowns?

Why the fuck is there a clown restaurant?!?!

As it should.
Im with you in a illogical but intense fear of clowns. 🫣
I don't have a fear of clowns, but I do have a strong dislike of them. I think it goes back to when I was a kid at a 4th of July parade. I was only 5 or 6 years old, and I was sitting on the curb of the street. This clown from the parade walked by and whacked my shins with a yardstick and said, "Get your feet out of the street, kid!" I was only 3½' tall, so it wasn't like I had my feet out in the middle of the parade route! I've disliked clowns ever since. (Not so much images of clowns, but actual real clowns.)

I hate their close cousins -- mimes -- too!

Worst date, probably the one that never happened. Waiting over 2 hours before tucking tail and heading home.

Now for my worst date ever:

I had been seeing this girl for about a month. We had a date scheduled for a Saturday, but when I got to her house, she said that she didn't want to go out, but wanted to stay in instead. She also said that she had a video that she wanted to watch, and we could watch it together.

So I'm thinking, "Yeah, this has possibilities." 🤔 And I agreed to stay in and watch the video with her.

OK then, has anyone here ever heard of Pampered Chef? They sell cooking utensils and stuff like that. Their salespeople conduct "parties" where they try to sell stuff to other "party" guests. (Or something like that.)

Anyway, this video was an instruction video on how to sell Pampered Chef products! It was nearly 2 hours long, and she sat there and took notes! After it was done, she ran to the kitchen to try out some complimentary products they had sent with the video! She spent the next hour to hour-and-a-half cooking! I fell asleep on the couch. When she woke me up because the food was ready, Saturday Night Live was on TV! So, I tried the food. Turns out she was a terrible cook! I told her that it was getting late, so I had better go home. I stopped calling her after that.

Later, I found out that she told a mutual friend that she didn't want to see me anymore because I wasn't interested in her Pampered Chef video!

I have two really bad dates that stick out in my mind but I'll skip my prom story this time.

The other was a guy I met on what constituted for dating apps for the time. He asked me to go to Red Lobster (very fancy). He comes to meets me at my car and immediately goes in for a hug and kiss. Like sir, I just arrived. Calm down. We go inside. He's nice but like too nice in an odd way but I chalk it up to nerves. We sit down at a table and the table kind of across from us has a couple and maybe a 10 month old baby? At some point, he gets up and offers to hold the baby while they eat so they can "enjoy a date night for a few minutes". We then have this RANDOM BABY at our table (I have so many thoughts on this). Also the guy ordered for me and spoke for me. That vibe may be for some people but it's not a good fit for PLP. Anyway the dinner takes forever and when we finally leave, he askes me to go to his place. I made up something to politely decline. He pins me against my car with another kiss and we leave. Someone hand me a toothbrush stat.

The worse part was what I did after. Imagine his name is Carl (it's not but go with me here). As I drive away, I text my friend Carla to tell her what an awful date I had just been on. Except...... yep, you guessed it.... I text Carl the details of the horrible date he'd just been on. Needless to say there was no date two. What a weird night!
