I used to be a sugar baby and also an escortâŠ.it was just after I turned 19 (and a little here and there after too) I had come out of a really awful relationship. One of my favourite customers used to pay me ÂŁ500 just to eat me out in a hotel room, he never expected anything from me. I only ever had 1 or two long standing men who I used to actually sleep with. I loved it, I never felt unsafe, I became really close with most of them! Perhaps this makes me seem promiscuous to some of you, or, in the eyes of others, less desirable evenâŠ.but Iâve come to believe that for women who have been hurt or violated by men, (which sadly there are many) there is a certain quiet reclamation of power to be found in sex work and escorting. Itâs obviously not the only path, and it isnât without complexity, but choosing to engage in sex on your own terms can become a form of ownership.I at least know you well enough to know the answers to 9 and 33 are 'yes' in your case, and there is ample proof on this very thread that the same goes for 44. 59 is kinda ironic because at one point you were one, but I'm curious to know if your previous sex work went as far as escorting (67).
My own answers to those questions are, in order, no, yes, no, yes, and maybe.
Ownership over your body, your boundaries, your choices and it totally flips the power dynamic; at least it did for me! For those of us who have felt silenced, objectified, or controlled, thereâs something profoundly liberating in monetising what was once taken or devalued without consent. Not everyone will understand that.
