The Red Sox signed Devers to make up for NOT signing Betts. Betts is a 5 tool player and Devers is limited. I thought that contract was too long because he has Pablo Sandoval written all over him. I’m okay with the trade as long as they spend some of that money on pitching.

I made great money at my job and didn’t like being shifted around but I STFU because it was a positive for our “team”.

The reason they traded Betts, as I understand it, was because he made it clear he wanted to play somewhere warm. So they couldn’t keep him and at least got something.
I agree there is no comparison. Betts is a hall of famer.

I miss them.

For an exhibition game I liked it.... no one wants their players chasing the man on 2nd for 4-5 innings.

It was a good solution. Pissed the bookies off....

Hated it. The all star game sucks already because it's barely real baseball, but that ending made it exponentially worse by being so much worse and so much less of real baseball.
