My daily lunch break and TV tune-ins has recently changed for the better . . . found a site that allowed me to download ALL five years (1959-1964) of "The Twight Zone" ! I now have over 125 30-minute episodes to peruse at my leisure.

Oh, and when you are tired of some weird scf-fi flicks, you might want to delve into Greek mythology . . . it's crazy . . . for example: Uranus was the son AND husband of Gaea (earth). But all was not perfect with them. Uranus despised his children, especially the Cyclopes and Hecatoncheires, and imprisoned them deep within Gaea. This act of cruelty angered Gaea, who sought revenge. Gaea fashioned a sickle and asked her sons, the Titans, to use it against Uranus. Cronus, the youngest and most ambitious, bravely stepped forward and castrated his father. This act separated the sky from the earth, marking the end of Uranus's reign. His severed genitals, when cast into the sea, created a white foam from which the goddess Aphrodite (goddess of love and beauty) emerged (her name derrives from the greek word for foam - Aphros).

Susan Howatch is known for fictional Plantagenet treatments in the form of family sagas, and something in similar vein for the Church of England regarding history and exploration of faith. . Dense, massive novels comprised of complex relationships and psychological depth. I've haven't read anything of hers in ages, but always enjoyed her writing.

Today, I found she started her writing career with gothic romances!!!

I am now on a mission.
