the races are great too, dont get me wrong. i watch them all. but i loooove quali for sure.

also...quali is about an hour and the race is about 90 min usually. if theres red flags (race is stoipped, usually due to some crazy crash) then it goes longer.
so you can "explain to the wife"...hey this will only take 90 min, it isnt the cowboys vs the niners and gonna take 3 1/2 to four hours. no timeouts. no commercials even. thats right. no fucking commercials. same with the race. unless theres a stoppage for rain/crash then sometimes ok but really no.
same with football (soccer). no breaks. no commercials. just go go go and then its done. you can almost set yer watch by it!

Agreed. Marko says some pretty fucked up things and racist remarks. Send him off to greener pastures and he can watch the races from the old age home

I didn’t realize there were no commercials. That’s a beautiful thing. I appreciate soccer but I’m not a big fan of I went to a game once in SLC and that was fun. I may have to watch the Belgian Grand Prix. Is that usually a pretty good race?

yeah most call it "Spa" and its one of my top 5 circuits probably...though it doesnt mean itss always a good race

some races can be a snoozefest...lots last year for example were just Max Verstappen at pole posiiton, and gets way ahead of everyone and then its just fighting for the other places while he wins by 20, 30 seconds etc.

I guess one other thing...points are awarded to the top 10 finishers. The last 10 get squat. So even if you come in 5th or something, you get points and it doesnt mean you suck or whatever.

Also, MOST cars are within a few tenths of a second of each other overall...seriously, tenths of a second, sometimes hundredths... But over 50, 60 laps that can equal to 30 secs, a minute or more. And most circuits (race courses) are somewhere AROUND 1 m in and 20 secs to go around. People get lapped.
And most of the time the top speed is ABOUT 200 mph. And they brake from going like 180 to 55 in 2 secs or whatever. its insane when you start thinking about it

ehhh just trying to explain some basics to some ppl who may not watch it. i love how the sport is growing and IDGAF if its from me or DTS or what., Even if DTS manufactures some drama and sounds and whatever.

also, do you have the right tool(s) to get into it?
