Musk won't try to start a new political party. For one reason; unless you're a Republican, you've already demonstrated that you hate him so there's no incentive for you to join what would be his newly formed political party. This leaves him with disaffected Republicans, which wouldn't be sufficient to do anything at all.

It's a numbers game and Musk isn't stupid. Unlike all you Democrats who cannot see the writing on the wall.

As for his criticism of he BBB, it's his Right and I commend him for exercising it..

It seems unlikely … but the margin for control of the government is so tiny that he could swing it to either of the major parties by targeting a few endangered incumbents.

If the “Elon Party” could win 10 seats in the House, those 10 representatives would have defacto control (by siding with either of the major parties on each issue).

I liked Musk when he was running SpaceX. He should have stayed with it. He had two many irons in the fire before getting in bed with trump. He had a wet dream creating DOGE with teenagers so it doesn't bode well for "his" primary candidates. He needs to get his mind right.
