I think it will be exciting! I've started to follow F1 again and actually find it more fun and exciting than I expected.
My only "problem" is all the paved areas outside the track. It makes the drivers take chances and throw themself into the turns and hope for the best. If it were gravel traps there instead they would take it a bit more careful because if they made an error and went off the track, the race would be over for them.
They can overtake each other without taking risks like that. I've seen it happen several times this year with great battle between the drivers.

Safety is important but with more safety the respect between the drivers on the track is not as good as in the 70's when I grew up. 7 drivers in 10 years died. That's bad, but the drivers had more respect for each other on the track when they new what the risks were. Less chance more control.

Enough of an old mans rambling. Are you watching Austrias GP after the race is done?
I was in Zeltweg 1993 and watched Superbike WC.

Yeah theres a few dangerous turns over all the tracks, and a few that do have rocks and stuff that spit up but correct its mostly paved or the wall
So I feel ya there.
Some of those overtakes and runoffs and such are exciting, some are wayyyy too wide. But I also am fully on board for safety first. The halo was a godsend.

Yes! The halo is the best thing they did for safety since the helmet and safety belt! Remember this?

that was in the top 2 or 3 scariest fucking crashes

Hell, Yuki's crash a couple years ago...was it Canada or maybe Imola? Cant recall...when he flipped over and over and then into the wall by a grandstand...looked insane too. Thank god for the halo.
