Okay history buff...Which came first, the Boer War or WWII? The most recent, recognized use of concentration camps is the death camps of Nazi Germany.

In the same war the U.S. had concentration camps for Japanese, and those were never death camps. (I'm sure some inmates died in them, but nobody who would not have died if free.)
 
‘100%’ didn’t show up to work due to raids, farmer says

DONNA, Texas (ValleyCentral) — Rio Grande Valley farmers say they are feeling the effects of having no workers show up due to the continued U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) raids.

Farmer Nick Billman from Donna says the raids have caused people to not show up to work, leaving farmers without any help. He says things started getting worse just weeks ago.

“I would say within the last three weeks it started to slow but this last week has been huge,” Billman said. “That is when it has been zero people wanting to come out and be exposed to be able to be picked up whether they are legal or illegal.”
“One hundred percent, one hundred percent don’t want to come out of fear of being picked up even if they are doing it the right way,” Billman said.

“It could be to the point where we lose our planting and having the ground ready and even then why plan if we cannot even harvest,” the farmer said.

“We don’t ask people for papers as it is not our job,” Billman said. “If someone is willing to work we’re gonna give them a 1098 form, they signed up on it, they gave paid and whether they pay their taxes that is their responsibility. We are worried that we are going to scrutiny over it if they come raid our fields as we don’t know whose legal or not because we don’t ask that.”

An official from DHS had sent an email on Thursday telling agents to “hold on all worksite enforcement investigations/operations on agriculture (including aquaculture and meat packing plants), restaurants and operating hotels.” That message went out hours after Trump had suggested he was sympathetic to concerns raised by farmers and hospitality executives about his deportation plan.

but then they heard the White House didn't support that idea after all, so on Monday:
“There will be no safe spaces for industries who harbor violent criminals or purposely try to undermine ICE’s efforts,” Tricia McLaughlin, an assistant secretary for DHS, said Monday. “Worksite enforcement remains a cornerstone of our efforts to safeguard public safety, national security and economic stability.”
