What a lovely memory you have from that night.
Yes! OMG - I love the scene more out of hair washing envy than anything else. It looks like he really gives her a good head scrubbing! (Not an euphemism!!![]()
)
I'm related to a few... mostly by marriage (sibling's)... but a couple by blood.
My last employer did that with me... dang near broke me. Swing shifts, back2back, double, turnarounds, split shifts... I ditched for that (and other reasons) and have been 1st shift ever since. Much better. I admire people who can consistently work the other 2 shifts or, like you, @Boat1, can work any shift in any order at any time.
Either I'm not built that way or I seriously burned out that cylinder a long time ago.
Good initiative
Nice pic!
Oh! You mean the one from Aug. 31, 2024?
That photo?![]()
Glad you got better sleep last night, B2.

When I amabsolutely positive I know the answer -
That's when I either STFU or ask a question.
It's the Universe's way of flagging me that I couldn't be more wrong.
My mom and aunties grew up with fried SPAM (WWII babies). I remember a summer visit w/ my aunties. I think it was movie night and SPAM was in a scene. They chattered on about it after the movie. So I stopped on my way over the next day and bought a small can and some Ritz crackers.
That poor can didn't stand a chance. They made short work of it - but also made sure to let me know that 1 small can was enough.
That was a very fun memory.
Heck yeah!!
Sometimes change is good... signifies new life and vitality. That they requested your CV before anything was posted is a good sign in my book. Got my fingers and toes crossed for you!!
So glad the birthday party was a win!
Love a good deep dive into books![]()

(yes, but stop saying it with the singsong from "that's a spicy meat ball-a")
The Age of Innocence
Carriage scene with the gloves - before the kiss
I realize this exchange was not a personalized gift, but I'll thank you just the sameNeeded the laughs today
The struggle is real

Nice inclusivity... thinking of you here, @Boat1
I lost count on the number of looks I gave this one before it clicked for me![]()
Quiet now - I'm quite enjoying summer days in the 60s F and cloudy, rainy skies

I slept like a baby... for about 2½ hours.Just clued in that you're working nights. Hope you had a good shift and are sleeping soundly

That's tough, I know!My last employer did that with me... dang near broke me. Swing shifts, back2back, double, turnarounds, split shifts... In my youth, I did factory work on a "3rd, 2nd, 1st" rotating schedule...
everyone hated graveyard, I hated rotating, so I took advantage of it and offered to stay on graveyard full time, freeing two others to avoid it.
Management jumped on it...
