All inhabited regions of the world are interdependent. Nationalism divides them for no rational reason. It is no coincidence that nationalism in its modern form began in the anti-rationalist Romantic period of Western civilization.

This is what my AI overlord says about it:

The idea that globalism is inherently better than nationalism is a complex one, with arguments for both sides. Globalism, with its focus on interconnectedness and international cooperation, can lead to increased trade, economic growth, and cultural exchange, potentially benefiting all nations. However, nationalism, with its focus on national identity and interests, can foster a sense of pride and unity, but can also lead to isolationism and conflict. Ultimately, a balanced approach that recognizes the strengths of both globalism and nationalism may be the most beneficial. :)

Fascist is not the same as authoritarian.
Yeah I know I'm talking about the pig culture of militarism in civil society the ranks the uniforms the belief that it's us against them no matter if it right or wrong that is fascism and that is pig culture...

No, fascism is a narrower concept than authoritarian. Stalinism is authoritarian but not fascist.

Fascism is based on Palingenetic ultranationalistic populism.

Palingenetic means rebirth or regeneration, more specifically a cleansing such. Once the unwanted elements are washed away, eliminated, or destroyed the remaining old core will bring about a new dawn and reach their proper place.

Ultranationalistic means that the nation, its traditions, and the corresponding sense of unity is paramount. This means that it isn't really possible to import fascism to one country from another—each nation must have its own, and it will express itself in different ways.

Populism means appeal to the masses, usually by appeals to feelings, "common sense", revanchism, or disenfranchisement, and the assertion that the speaker is the true representative of the masses. Often the established elites are the target for this. However, populism in this regard carries a highly elitist core, since the masses are not expected to themselves influence the (self-appointed) leader; they are to follow.

Man I don't care about yer schoolbook definitions and arguments defending pig culture because bottom line is that police culture is all about fascism and if you can't understand that well that your misfortune not mine...

Pope Leo criticizes political nationalism and prays for reconciliation and dialogue

VATICAN CITY — Pope Leo XIV criticized the surge of nationalist political movements in the world as he prayed Sunday for reconciliation and dialogue — a message in line with his pledges to make the Catholic Church a symbol of peace.

The pope celebrated Sunday Mass in St. Peter's Square in front of tens of thousands faithful, and asked the Holy Spirit to "break down barriers and tear down the walls of indifference and hatred."

"Where there is love, there is no room for prejudice, for 'security' zones separating us from our neighbors, for the exclusionary mindset that, tragically, we now see emerging also in political nationalisms," the first American pontiff said.

I'm just curious. What would you do if someone decided to split your head open and take all your money?

Same thing as if police or no police because the police only show up afterwards and won't get my money back so I'd head to nearest hospital to get stitched up and think about whether to move on with my life or think about revenge though the criminal justice system or otherwise what would you do...?

Ah, the inter-dependency fantasy that enabled Putin to make a clown out of Merkel et al. The EU making itself so dependent on Russian oil and gas didn't lead to kisses and cuddles for evermore though, did it?

Did they ever figure out who cut that pipeline? :)

And if his imaginary friend doesn't deliver?

The business sector, at any rate, has reached a consensus that economic globalism is more profitable, and presents more opportunities, than economic nationalism and protectionism.

More profitable for big business for sure. UK was de-industrialized by EU membership as manufacturing companies closed plants in the UK because manufacturing in Eastern Europe was far cheaper and there were no trade barriers to stop them selling the end product back into the UK market.

And now every city centre in the UK looks the same - Starbucks, Costa, Five Guys, Pizza Express, ... independent outlets though are about as rare as rocking-horse đź’©

If you want to worship at the altar of big business knock yourself out but don't expect it to improve your local community.
