I saw a YouTube video where someone who owned a trained crow demonstrated how many different sounds crows can make. So when people are assuming there are “monsters” in the woods … it’s probably just a crow being an asshole.

I was listening to a horror podcast and they mentioned how crows and ravens are quite good at mimicking almost any sound. They pondered if the sounds people heard in the Aokigahara Forest, where people think they hear others screaming in distress, could be ravens or crows. And more disturbing… if this true… where did the birds hear it to mimic it in the first place?
