Sex & Shenanigans

You have to eat the fries within nine minutes of them leaving the fryer, so eat the fries, bang the Hamburgler, eat the cold burgers, eat one of those baked apple pie things, and then comes the regretting.

Then complain to the Hamburgler how much better the fried apple pies were.
If you ever come to LA, the 3rd ever and oldest remaining McD’s in Downey, CA is the only one in the country that still fries them, and there’s a little museum

Currently having leftover chicken (was too nauseous to eat it for dinner last night) cut up with veggies, gravy, and biscuits…kinda like a deconstructed chicken pot pie

In Canada you can sell back your energy if you don’t use it all … so over the summer months people with solar panels aren’t paying anything for electricity and actually getting a credit… then their winter months where there is less sun and more energy use they are getting smaller bills.
I looked into it for my house, and at least down here, with the current technology and expected rate of saving, it would take a little more than 20 years to make up the initial outlay, even without factoring in interest if you finance.

I think that is the law here also, they have to pay you back for the extra energy, at the same rate they charge you. And here in Las Vegas, we have a lot of sun. I doubt anyone gets a credit during the summer though, because AC uses up all the energy. :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:

Do you ever have one of those mornings, where the brat inside you says "hey, lets send a really over the top, suggestive text to someone." Only to have it backfire because now I'm all horny, turned on and trying to work?

Brilliant work there Brenda. Nice job.

Well, I can promise you I've never been on the receiving end of those 🤣

And my productivity is better for it

They do that here to. But the way they tier the rates based on demand means you’re selling back when you, and everybody else isn’t using. So it’s not nothing but it’s not that exciting either.

The real issues is that without subsidies it doesn’t make sense because power isn’t costed properly. Because markets largely suck and were built before we understood all the externalities associated with almost everything.

And the fucking leases the solar industry has developed to replace the subsidies are fucking predatory bullshit.

That's done here as well.
It's the most common way Solar is deployed residentially.

Depends on how you set up your system.

If you want complete energy independence, you have to have a battery plant and a system of inverters/rectifiers to convert DC Solar to useable AC. A LOT of cost and maintenance to take that on.

And of course, Climate as pertains to your geography plays a role in Solar feasibility.

Heat pumps and improved insulation and roofing make more sense, tbh.

Canada is mostly uninhabited and largely uninhabitable. One of the things I love about it. Hope that never changes.
But because there isn't a huge amount of housing growth, there are a lot of older homes in need of retrofit and upgrade.

Yeah where I am in Oregon gets a decent amount of sun, but because of where we are in the valley we don’t get enough direct sun to make it remotely worthwhile.

There’s no singular solution.

I don't think I have even heard of anyone here not having a heat pump. And yeah, my house has crazy amounts of insulation, and it's a relatively old house for Las Vegas. 🥰🥰🥰🥰

Funny, Nevada is also most uninhabited and largely uninhabitable. But that's because of a lack of water in the desert. 🤷‍♀️

Yep. And that is the rub.
If they could make the cost for solar more reasonable, considering it's mostly a supplemental application, more people would be on board.
