As an English gentleman, cricket is more my thing. I have been to Lords cricket ground with friends and worked our way through several bottles of champers and a fair bit of food during the course of a day's play (11am - around 6pm with a break for lunch and tea).

They allow you to bring in your own food (highlights have included cheese boards and shooters sandwiches) and a bottle of champagne each, we've developed techniques to sneak more booze in....

So, for @vagrantx sake: an American baseball game lasts nine innings. Roughly 3 hours, give or take, sometimes a lot longer depending on how long that last inning takes (Wiki it, I’m not feeling long-winded).

I’ve done 7 hot dogs and four beers and tapped out because the prices were fucking ridiculous and I was full enough.

Six outs long.

Okay, longer answer: each team gets a chance to be on offense ( hit the ball and make runs, called being "up to bat"), and defence, trying to stop them (called "being in the field"). The team is on offense until they get three outs ( catching a hit ball before it hits the ground, tagging a runner when they aren't on base, or if the batter swings at the ball and misses three times, for the most part). Baseball is results based rather than time based.

Which is probably more than you wanted....

What @UnquietDreams said. But on average, one inning (with both teams getting their chance at bat) is probably about 15-20 minutes. Give or take.
