Here are a few of the other reasons from the same page, posted today. Including one from the poster you were asking which reasons they agreed with...I wanted to know WHICH of the plethora of reasons we see here that particular poster meant.
Knowing what we pay AWS for a relatively small site, I can’t even imagine how much it costs them to host all the images that get uploaded here.
Getting rid of the threads like mine and the ones that just scrape the Web for images will save them shit loads
I think the forum should promote discussion. Threads of posted, reposted nudes scoured from the Internet do not do this. The same is true if the images are hidden by links.
Honestly? I'm tired. I understand you think this change is an infringement of your rights, judging by the number of threads you've started on the issue. What's with you? Can't you be nice?
Can I just ask, as a non Instagram user, how this will work?Laurel gave me a response.
It's going to be the same rules as Instagram
That's the tentative plan. Applies to photographs and illustrations. No nudity or illustrated sex
Applied retroactively?Laurel gave me a response.

I only inquired about the Illustrated Stories section. I don't know if that applies to the forums.
That was what Manu said in his original postApplied retroactively?
I know I’ve seen nipples on Instagram. Male and female, in medical/educational and sexual contexts. Can I just ask, as a non Instagram user, how this will work?
Will it be no nipples or genitalia but pretty much anything else goes?
I appreciate you're only the messenger here...
I know. It's gonna suck bigtime for many authors who have published a significant number of illustrated stories. I think that only a very small percentage of those stories fit into these new rules, so I wanted to hear if Laurel had some better news for them. Probably not, though. That was what Manu said in his original post
They said it was a very small %age where the illustrated stories would fail foul of the nudity changes. I have no idea what the % is in realityI know. So, we can't upload nudity or illustrated sex to the Lit server. Did she say anything about whether links to images hosted offsite were okay?Laurel gave me a response.

That your entire takeaway from my post?Talk about not reading. My two threads were directed at what I though was a particular implementation of the policy, not the policy itself. When I found that what was purported to be the case (deleting whole threads for the presence of some rule breakers), I stated it and posted no more.

Those sexual contexts must have been in photos of paintings and/or sculptures.https://about.instagram.com/blog/announcements/instagram-community-guidelines-faqs
Appropriate Imagery – We don’t allow nudity on Instagram, with some exceptions, like photos of post-mastectomy scarring and women actively breastfeeding. Nudity in photos of paintings and sculptures is OK, too. "
noTLDR on the thread. Is there an option to establish an NSFW branch of the forum and set up threads that include images within that? All threads that are strictly text/convo will be able to remain within the original location? IMO, this would serve both sides. For that matter, you could remove the option for photos within the SFW branch to secure that. If someone has already covered this, GREAT!!! I apologize for not reading the 14 pages that I didn't.
While your idea is reasonable, it leans on the premise that Manu put forward - that Literotica is changing its policy because of the feedback from users stating that they want to be able to safely browse the site even when at work.TLDR on the thread. Not sure what you wanted to say. I don't really care if they pondered this decision for a long time or not. It's irrelevant. This is their website, and it's 100% their decision where to go with it. I have no problem with that. What I do have a problem with is:The owners have decided this is the direction they want to take. Do you not understand it has been talked about, pondered, etc etc before they came to this decision?
Did everyone just skip over this part?
"Over time, we've also become more and more aware of Literotica's unique identity as a community dedicated to storytelling via fantasies shared through writing and reading."

why would authors be consulted? The stories are here at the discretion of the site owners. Did tumblr consult their top-viewed porn stars before pulling nudity from tumblr? No.Not sure what you wanted to say. I don't really care if they pondered this decision for a long time or not. It's irrelevant. This is their website, and it's 100% their decision where to go with it. I have no problem with that. What I do have a problem with is:
1. That they are taking us for fools and giving us bullshit reasons. Everyone knows it's not because of user feedback. The notion itself is hilarious.
2. While this isn't affecting me personally, it's clear from this thread that even the most popular and most followed authors on Literotica (silk, HeyAll, etc.), who had invested their time and effort and published plenty of illustrated stories that will now go under the axe, haven't been consulted about this change or even warned in time. They are as clueless as the rest of us as to what is going on and whether their stories will be pulled down. That's simply no way to treat people who have brought plenty of readers to the site.
You know, you and a couple of your buddy moderators, with your pettiness, condescension, trolling, and likely abuse of power, paint a far more vivid picture of all that's wrong about this website than my words ever could. That sums it up perfectly. Was that so hard to understand?
Here on this forum, I'm not a moderator. Here...I'm just a member and wondering why it's okay for you to be condescending to me in your post, but you don't like it when I do the same to you.You know, you and a couple of your buddy moderators, with your pettiness, condescension, trolling, and likely abuse of power, paint a far more vivid picture of all that's wrong about this website than my words ever could.
