True enough and let's add another point. The EU market for China is different than that of the US in terms of goods and services. Yes, there is some overlap of course, but goods manufactured for the US market cannot be diverted to the EU market with any significant margin for success.The EU is a single Market, it's written into its founding documents. Goods and services know no borders within the bloc. When it comes to trading with countries outside of the bloc, it is all done centrally by the commission. In terms of trade, it is one country. You can't make deals with one country any more than an outsider could cut a trade deal with California
