All the senior men: I’m a healthy, nearly 70 year old. I use Cialis which is awesome, love sex with my s/o it’s amazing, she’s incredibly orgasmic, and very open to really anything. The issue is, over the past few years I’ve found it more an more difficult to cum. Now, the last few times we’ve had sex, the fucking and sucking is amazing, but again, no cumming. I’ve given up watching porn, but does any other guy have this issue, and any suggestions? (please serious responses only). Thanks for the help!

Have you started taking other medications, or just the Cialis?

Specifically, antidepressants are a class of medications which are known to commonly mess with sex response. For some, it's "can't get it up." For others, it's "can't get off." The doctors can adjust the medication to improve this unwanted side effect, or possibly the medication could be skipped to make things work better on some particular day you plan ahead for.

It doesn't seem likely to me that this has much to do with age alone, but I could be wrong about that.

thanks for the reply; no other medications in the picture….

Your not on your own here I get the same. I had TN and took carbamazepine an antiepileptic drug and I think that was the cause. Off it now but still affected. Working hard to manually improve the situation 😁

Perhaps you should consider what else is or isn't going into your body. Training for physicians focuses on diagnosing and prescribing pharmaceuticals, they receive little education in nutrition and holistic health beyond "you don't need supplements because you should get all the vitamins you need in your food" (unless you live at the Farmer's Market and grow your own organic chickens, it ain't happening) and "if you don't want to be fat, don't eat fat" (yeah, they still believe that.)

Instead of having to rely on someone with sketchy "credentials", some states allow the licensing of Naturopathic Physicians - doctors who have graduated from accredited programs at actual medical schools. Other states don't, thanks to the "real" doctors not wanting anyone to encroach on their monopoly. It might be worth a trip to another state. Some even have practices in states where they can't be licensed - they are extremely limited in what they can do, and your insurance won't cover it, but it might be worth it to see someone who knows what they're doing to evaluate you.

I think it’s common as we age to cum less and for it to take a little bit longer. I am 57, and the older I get the longer it takes.

But here’s an idea… maybe lean into it a little bit. We have learned that sex isn’t always about ejaculation, but feeling good and helping your partner get off.

Have you considered other ways of getting off? Sometimes my wife will use her Hitachi vibrator on the underside of my cock and it gets me right there.

60 yo here. I have found it harder to come in the last few years but my word what a benefit that’s been. Prolongs my pleasure, then when I do come it’s absolutely mindblowing. Sometimes get the post-orgasmic headache that hurts like fuck but worth the effort (anyone else get that?). Also ive found I come more copiously with a combination of mouthwork, handiob and vibrator on the balls. Still come inside my wife of course, but not essential for me anymore.

About 10 years ago, we added orgasm control into the mix. I only cum two or three times a month, but those orgasms are absolutely fucking explosive.

It’s not everyone’s thing, but it works really well for us.

Well, worth the wait!

I still need a good wank now and then during the month, but agree, the waiting adds to the intensity.

Make sure you get the exam done by a female doctor may as well get the best out of the experience lol

I have had several sexual events where I was hard going in but softened in minutes with no orgasum. Mostly because of discomfort in my lower back. The other issue for me is the lack of volume. I think it is going into my bladder. I was prescribed Flomax maybe 15 years ago and that resulted in dry ejaculations. I never really recovered from that. I don’t “shoot” any longer. More of a dribble with 3 or 4 contractions so not much volume.
I am 73 and I use a 50 mg dose of a generic Viagra and a cock ring.

Just a little PSA (public service announcement) about PSA (prostate-specific antigen) testing (pun semi-intended)....

the old digital rectal hey-diddle-diddle exam has been replaced by a much more accurate PSA blood test that was introduced in the late 1980s. By 2000, most digital rectal exams as "front-line screening" had ceased entirely, with two exceptions:
  • A diagnosis of prostate cancer in your immediate family history (brother, father, possibly grandfather)...you get both the blood and digital tests
  • An examination conducted in the UK (the only first-world country still routinely ordering them). Feel free to insert your own Royal Navy "rum, sodomy and the lash" quip here.

I’m 67 and found in the last couple years, the cum volume has gone down, and it takes me longer to cum, but when I do, it is explosive as far as the feeling goes!
My partners do not mind me lasting longer, either. Gives them plenty of time for a couple Os.

Not in the UK I have to ask for regular psa test and ask for the digital exam as a follow as the psa test is not 100% reliable. In our area there’s no provision for the blood test. The only chance for that is go see quack privately

New PSA guidelines also now recommend NO PSA tests given to men over age 69 who have never had prostate issues in the past. This might seem counterintuitive, but evidently the number of "false positives" in men over age 69 tends to draw attention away from other more serious issues.

So I stopped getting the finger test when I started getting psa tests, does this mean I get the finger test back?

This is normal as we grow older. You might try Zinc supplements. Zinc has a positive effect in the prostate.

thanks for the reply; I’m extremely health conscious; my diet is clean, and my supplements are all top grade organics. Thanks…
