It wasn't a mass shooting. He didn't empty the magazine on fully automatic and kill as many people as he could. Instead, he was firing controlled bursts."[207] The rifle Crooks used was semi-automatic, not fully automatic.[208][209]

They don't work for the Trump campaign. Getting the SS on board comes under the heading of "could," not "would." And it is not an indispensable "could" -- a plot to stage a shooting for a photo op could be carried out without Secret Service cooperation.

Point being, it is much more plausible that the Trump campaign arranged the shooting than that anyone else (other than the shooter) did -- which seems to be the point of your OP, that it was a Democrat plot or something.

But it probably was just the shooter, acting alone, for reasons best known to himself. Occam's Razor. There is always somebody who wants to kill the president, no matter what the president's politics are, or whether he is popular or unpopular.
