Day 25: A song that mentions sky

Breakaway - Kelly Clarkson

I'll spread my wings and I'll learn how to fly
I'll do what it takes 'til I touch the sky
And I'll make a wish, take a chance, make a change
And breakaway

Bad ass station wagon in this video! It’s a 1972/73 Ford country squire. (Ours is a 1970, but I have cannibalized parts from the 72/73 versions for its restoration.)

Day 25: A song that mentions sky,

I could gripe that a bunch of my options were taken, but that would be silly. Besides, I loved this song for a stretch in the 2000s, when Incubus was cool as fuck.

I lay my head onto the sand
The sky resembles a backlit canopy with holes punched in it
I'm counting UFOs, I signal them with my lighter
And in this moment I am happy, happy

Day 25: A song that mentions sky

Okay. So two things.
1. pretend I posted this 20 minutes ago and it's still the 25th.
2. I am counting "20 thousand feet up in the air" as mentioning the sky fight me

Cable Car (Acoustic)- Abhi the Nomad
It's off my love songs playlist

You can post later without a problem. People catch up all of the time.

Page 1000! Wild.

Does anyone else have the problem where it often takes two tries to load a page on this thread because it crashes as it tries to load?

I’m wondering if it might be beneficial to close it down and open a second one? Not sure if it has to do with number of embedded links on a single page or on the thread in total. Maybe a more tech inclined person has some insight?

I don't have that loading problem. Just the usual Lit posting bugs that I get on any thread.

But yay!!! 1000!!!
1000 pages of music and community. You're amazing ❤️

The page is reaching out to YouTube for the embedded links for every song, and that takes a bit of time. It is only preloading that specific page, so starting a new thread wouldn't change that.

And congratulations!

Thanks! That’s what I kinda figured. I just don’t remember it happening so much to me before a few months ago which made me question. Probably has something to do with my phone.

Day 26: A song with a great music video

Hopeless Wanderer - Mumford and Sons

Okay, I almost used this song for yesterday's prompt. I love this song on its own. This music video is fantastic though. Some fun facts...

1. The director reached out to Sudekis with his idea for the comedic music video. Sudekis then called Bateman, after that, Helms and Forte joined the project.
2. All four actors volunteered to do the video for free, but due to SAG rules, they all had to be paid.
3. This whole thing was shot in a day 😂
4. Sudekis sang his heart out the entire day of filming even though it's not these four singing in the video. He was just that into it.
And 5. Helms wanted to be on the banjo because he knows how to play the banjo. But it was determined he looked more like the guy on the piano, so that's where he was cast.

Similar problem. Maybe the last six months.

I just refresh the page and it usually fixes it.

Day 26: A song with a great music video
Everything from the title fonts to the vintage aesthetics makes this look like a mini Wes Anderson movie (which, I think, was the intention)
"Five Years Time" - Noah and the Whale

Day 26: A song with a great music video

Twelve years before Kobra Kai, No More Kings asked Billy Zabka if he would make a cameo in their upcoming video for "Sweep the Leg." They had also reached out to several other actors from The Karate Kid, but hadn't heard back yet. He said he would, if they let him direct it. They said yes, and he came up with this story, of "Johnny" ("That's not his real name!" yells his girlfriend), living in a trailer with all of the Cobra Kai guys, endlessly watching the parts of the movie where he won. Then Zabka started working the phone. Martin Kove was in -- " damn right, it's my line!" Elisabeth Shue couldn't make it, and Ralph Macchio was doing a play, so he didn't think he could, but in the end he was able to take a day to fly out for his scene. My favorite geeky detail? They got the guy who played the ref at the finals of the Under 18 All-Valley Karate Championships.

The results is a joyous "what if."

"Sweep the Leg," No More Kings
