Subaru move production of the Outback out of USA

Subies are rare here. Maybe I would have liked an older Subie wagon. Now they make SUVs, one sedan, and one hatchback, the usual crap like the rest of the car market.

good idea!

Japanese Subarus are much better than the ones slapped together by stupid lazy americans.

You've never driven either.
Oh look it’s that sad old deluxmoron seeking attention!

Lol

Edited to add: you and coati should be sucking each other off. You’re both angry little retards. Lol

Trump's idea was that the tariffs would cause American auto makers to move their production back here and hire Americans to do the work.

Is there any sign of that happening?

I daresay that you are not their target market demographic.
2016,2020,2024 Presidential elections, Subaru owners are by far the most likely Democratic voters.
Also
2016,2020,2024 Presidential elections, Dodge RAM truck owners are by far the most likely Republican voters.

My theory is the only reason Subarus became so popular in New England in the first place was because Volvo stopped making the 245 wagon.

Did you ever here the joke "What does a lesbian bring to the second date? A U-haul. What does a gay man bring to a second date? What second date?"

With the price of U-haul rental skyrocketing, a trusty Subaru hatchback can often replace a small U-haul (granted it might take two or three loads).

And FYI "take two or three loads" was not a cheap attempt to denigrate your mom

Isn't that apples and oranges? The Outback is not a pickup truck.

The Outback should be made in Australia!
I took a friend from Down Under to Outback. Hilarity ensued. "Wot's all this 'shrimp' business...they're 'prawns!"
I got a kick out of the waitress asking her to speak slower please, she had difficulty understanding her.

My friend did think the "Bloomin' Onion", although not Australian in origin, was wonderful.

Toyotas get great reviews in warmer climates. The frames are too thin for Michigan road salt.

Nah. I had a Toyota Corolla wagon - it was my mom's, she gave it to me when I went to Uni. It was one year younger than me and it lasted 25 years - including 4 years in Minneapolis and 3 years in another northern state before it died - and after 25 years, not even a speck of rust. What killed it was the electrics failing and it just wasn't worth fixing. The frame and body and engine were fine. For the last 3 years I had the oil changed at about twice the recommended mileage, it was over 500,000 miles on the clock and never ever had a problem with the engine. It just ran and ran and ran...

My replacement's a....Toyota Corolla,,,had it 6 years now. Not a problem. Put it thru the car wash at the start and end of winter, change the oil whenever, just ticks along. No rust, no problems....they make great cars and really reliable.

Rust destroyed the Corolla I had. It was probably around 28 years old. That is too short for what cars cost now.
