Sex & Shenanigans

I don’t think this is weird. I think cooking is like any other art (or except you get to eat it after instead of figuring out where to store it) there’s plenty of reasons to find joy in it. I just don’t.
Yeppers! This is me too.

*** Feel free to skip the whole rest of this... not sure why I felt the need to share it, but I typed it in... so.... ***

But now that y'all got me thinking about it...

People love to call people who eat like I do "picky eaters"... I kind of hate the term, because it sounds like I think I'm special or something. That isn't it at all. I only eat a few foods because most foods are just completely unappetizing to me. Think of whatever food you hate the most, and someone sticks that in front of you and says that's what you have to eat. Do you eat it? No (at least I would hope not). For me, that's just a whole lot bigger list of foods that are just almost repulsive.

I used to love it. But because it's an everyday requirement to keep people alive it feels like a chore. Maybe someday I'll enjoy it again. But meal planning and then the execution just seems like a bit much every fucking night. However, the one meal I will do for myself if I'm on my own is a baked potato and filet mignon or a roasted veggies and quinoa salad. Those are easy and quick and relatively healthy.

Otherwise, it's scrambled eggs or yogurt... Lol
ketchup on the scrambled eggs?

The worst part? The most dreaded question in the world?

"Okay, so what do you want for dinner?"

I have not tried roasted. May go on the list.
Broccoli and Brussels sprouts originate from the same plant, so it shouldn't have been as surprised as I was that when roasted, the broccoli takes on a slightly more savory flavor and tastes much more like roasted brussels sprouts than it does steamed or stir fried broccoli. And the texture is just amazing!

Ah. I was doing fine until you mentioned Brussels sprouts...
