I think it is a beautiful place for a good tattoo. I just thing the term is damn funny. Not... first time hearing "ass hat" funny, but still funny.

But I find serious signs funny all the time too (because I mis-read them which makes it far more entertaining).

Well... that's actually the right place to have the tattoo of a hat if you want to achieve " AssHat" status.

I got my tattoo at 20, just on the back of my ribs. Mine isn't tacky, just very personal, so most people don't get it and are just like "oh, cool" after hearing my explanation

Oh that is confusing... on my ribcage, but like on my back... most people hear ribs and think front or side so I try to clarify. I don't think she also tattooed the actual bone...

I have long thought there isn’t something I like so much, that I want to see it on my body 5, 10, 20 years from now. But statistically speaking, at 58, I won’t make it another 20 years anyway.

Okay, being more serious. Seeing these posts, I was thinking is there something I really would want on me? And I realize I should actually tattoo something I need to remind myself. Something I say to myself when I feel a bit low, and need to be reminded of how far I have come. Something like “Brenda kicks ass!!”.

But it needs to be a place for me to see. It isn’t about someone else, it isn’t meant for anyone else. It matters to me, to remind me, when I feel low…. So where is the right spot for that?

My first tattoo was text on my left inner arm that I see whenever I’m wearing a short sleeve shirt. I read it regularly.
