Day 26: A song from the 10s
This group, consisting of sisters Allie, Trina, and Carly Bearhead, performs traditional First Nations pow-wow music.

Tanya Tagaq is a badass Canadian Inuk throat singer (and songwriter, novelist, actor, and visual artist). Her art exposes hard truths about systemic racism in governments, missing and murdered Indigenous women. She proudly supports Indigenous land rights and the practices and preservation of her culture, such as seal hunting.

Fan fucking tastic song and artist!!Day 27: A song from the 2020s
Second generation blues artist (her father was the brilliant guitarist Johnny Copeland) Shemekia Copeland has had a long, powerful career. And unlike many modern blues artists, she is not afraid to get bluntly political. But even with Grammy nominations last year, she is still mostly overlooked. And how the fuck can you overlook that voice?

Love this song so much!Day 28: A song that uses an unconventional time signature
I'm not going to pretend I didn't Google a couple of songs I thought might be to confirm, and a few of my suspicions were correct, I was going to go with my first thought, but @morelikeasong beat me to it!
So, second choice and an all time fave of mine.
This was my first choice. Such a great song. And yes, at least five. Maybe six. Might have been the LSD.Day 28: A song that uses an unconventional time signature
I don’t know a lot about the technicalities of music but I know this song has shifting time signatures. I think like 5 of them?
The Beatles - Happiness Is a Warm Gun
My fave Beatles song on my fave album of theirs.Day 28: A song that uses an unconventional time signature

So haunting. I loooooooove (extra o's to emphasize) Radiohead.Day 28: A song that uses an unconventional time signature
Pyramid Song - Radio Head
This song was referenced in the discussion of the first episode of Severance and I really liked it. I remembered the first comment on the YouTube video and sure enough, it fits the theme
The comment -
“each bar of this song has two dotted quavers, a crotchet, and two more dotted quavers. if you think about this in 16ths per bar, this equated to the notes equaling 3, 3, 4, 3, 3. a pyramid has four triangles and one square that make up the shape. this rhythm LITERALLY makes this song a pyramid i looooooove it i looooove radiohead”
