I employ others like my husband and varied friends and relatives. I just have to carry some from the rack on the porch.

That is the best way! I grew up with wood heat. Always helped cut all the wood for the family and grandparents! I was always the one splitting and loading! I had a house fire in 2009. I still occasionally use my fireplaces here but it does leave me nervous at times
