Wat was pretty good on one of these once upon a time. It's kind of like riding a bicycle - one never truly forgets. So, one is on the shooping list.


Speaking of shooping lists, Wat made one and forgot to take it to the store with him. No fear, as everything on the list got bought.

That's a good memory! I keep my lists on my phone now. I just need to remember to put things ON the lists!

I should clarify, by "main battery", I mean the one under the hood; the same battery that all cars hold. I've had to change that one a few times, partly due to normal battery life and also for an electric short issue.

The " hybrid battery" is the set of batteries that run the electric system, when we're not on gas/petrol. THAT battery is still original. (edit to add: the hybrid battery is under the mat in the rear storage compartment)

I've been impressed by the Gen 1 Ford Escape hybrid.

I'm half assed planning a pretty similar type of project. Well, maybe more like 7/8 assed. I have a block already. Need to scrounge heads...but know what I'm looking for.

Yesterday started overcast and windy and kinda cool. By noon though, it was 74, sunny, and perfect weather for fishing! We drove up the road a piece to a place I used to pass over driving to college and would always think, that’s a nice spot. Well…it was! Just perfect! Caught a mess of fish, at one point three with a minute or two! Loaded up the cooler and fried ‘em sitting by the fire last night. It promptly got cloudy again today.

I hope everyone had/is having a great weekend. Enjoy the last of it. We were robbed of an hour of it

Omg I will love them all.... there is a rescue called gentle giants where they rescue drafts and draft crosses.... some of them have been dumped for slaughter after working for the Amish for years and years..... because they aren't taken care of and break down.... you should see their hooves.... people should be shot...... I am no fan of peta but if you are gonna have an animal take care of it

I know a few people in the Society for Creative Anachronism ( I know, I know not a great source to cite). There are two who ride horses as part of their re-creation and they both use Percherons. Take that as you will.

My mom was an SCAer. She didn't ride horses (that I know of) but was fully into the dressing, tents, and camping. She made her own tent. I was mostly glad she had something she liked to do to occupy her time. However, I was pretty mad at her when I found out she was camping during thunderstorms. She lived in Missouri. 🌪

Ive actually saw horses bring a keg to a pub. Absolutely stunning.

Had a good weekend.

Yesterday - got my taxes done. I owe a bit.

Then drove up to my sisters. Had a hillarious time w her. We took her out for her b-day. So fun. Watched a bunch of old bugs bunny cartoons.

had a nice drive on the back roads home. Got home at 1 and got in a full day of farm work. Cleared the trail where a big tree came down and then split firewood then did some cleanup in the old mill.

Worked till 6!

Love the longer daze!!!!

Jeeze! You get more done in a day than I do in a month! Can you please bottle some of that energy for me???

I've been impressed by the Gen 1 Ford Escape hybrid.

My hybrid batteries are under the floor of the hatch. The "main battery" isn't under the hood as usual. It's under the back seat. You have to take out the hatch floor AND the back seat to reach it. Which is why I had to take it to the dealership to have it changed out when it wasn't holding a charge. I tried tire stores like Les Schwab; they wouldn't touch it because it's a hybrid.
