A CT has been circulating that somebody in government has been secretly taking the gold out. DOGE, or somebody, is supposed to do an audit to find out.

In Goldfinger, it appears at first that Goldfinger's plot is is to steal the Fort Knox gold -- but it turns out that his real plot is to set off a pony nuke and irradiate the gold, thereby rendering it worthless and increasing the value of his own gold holdings.

Only, that wouldn't work, would it? The gold never leaves the vaults. Its job is just to sit around being auraceous. Therefore, what difference does it make if it's radioactive?

Therefore, what difference does it make if it's gone entirely?

Think Gold backed dollar Bozo!😊 financial reset! Doesn't your media tell you anything worth while? Oh thats right, this would take down the entire deep state! Better pay attention!

Officially, the United States Bullion Depository holds 143.7 million ounces of gold.
Riddle me this Einstein!
I’m drinking from a 12oz bottle of water right now and it easily fits in my pocket! Tell us again how the gold in Ft. Knox can’t be stolen! Ha! Thought so!

12 ounces of gold weighs a lot more than 12 ounces of water! Duh!

An ounce is an ounce regardless of what the substance is. Your statement above is typical democrat think, dumb.

Maybe you meant to say an ounce of gold is more valuable than an ounce of water?
Typical poorly educated MAGAt speaks out.

Gold is measured in Troy ounces (31.10347 grams). Normal ounces are 28.349 grams.

Bn2f's bottle is 12 fluid ounces, and a fluid ounce is a unit of volume, not mass. The same volume of gold weighs more than the water.

I agree that the measurement used for precious metals is the Troy ounce, for monetary value.

The context ‘an ounce of gold weighs a lot more than water’ is incorrect. An ounce is an ounce. A pound of feathers weighs the same as a pound of rocks. Avoirdupois system of weights and measures based on gravitational pull not a man made measurement based on value.

Nothing was mentioned about Troy ounces as apposed to standard measurement of weight, ‘avoirdupois’.

I agree, fluid ounces is a measurement of volume. My question is why were you comparing fluid ounces to standard weight and when measuring gold which uses Troy precious metal values also has an avoirdupois value.

One fluid ounce of water weighs approximately one ounce.

Damn I hate to agree with you. But like a 12 hour clock which is broken, it is still correct twice a day.

Other peoples wealth, upsetting leftoids forever....

It seems to me, that the essence of the actual issue here is pretty simple.

Is that gold still there?

The idea of how much gold is really there is actually pretty nebulous since we went off the 'Gold Standard' - thanks to the worst decision of the Nixon administration. as a result, we have spent far beyond our means for far too long.

This has rendered the idea of how much gold is held in Fort Knox a moot issue - but the American people deserve to know what happened with their hard earned tax money.

That's a complicated issue. We were getting fucked over by our Allies, primarily France, who was demanding payment in Gold while the spot price for Gold was higher per ounce than what we had pegged it at. They were buying low and selling high.

France was demanding that we make payments in Gold, then pegged at $35/oz. and then dumping on the spot market at $50-$60/oz. Had that been allowed to continue there would be no Gold in Ft. Knox today.
How did it come about that the U.S. owed France money, and had to pay it in gold?

You have to be economically illiterate to even ask that question.

Gold will weigh approximately 19 times more than the same volume of water.;)
