TV:
-The IT Crowd. Fucking loooooved that show. Popular in the UK but not in the USA. Hilarious.
-Peep Show. Same as above.
-What We Do in the Shadows on FX/Hulu was a funny movie and then made into a tv show here in the USA that was likely better than the movie even. Big thumbs up.
-Fleabag had a brief moment when it was popular but it seems mostly forgotten. Loved that show.
-Mr. Inbetween
-Mindhunter (maybe not unpopular, but...)
-Samurai Champloo (anime, dope soundtrack, great lil story, no weird monsters or superpowers etc)

Films:
-Ghost World
-Lost in Translation
-25th Hour
-Moonrise Kingdom
-Okja
-Icarus

prob many more if I think about it for a while...but just starting the convo rolling!

Not much to contribute but I was surprised by Cinema Paradiso many years ago and, a little more recently by The Thirteenth Warrior. Re-watched Aguirre, Wrath of God not too long ago and enjoyed it much more than I remembered as a young man. Was shocked by Blue Velvet as a naive youngster as well..
Don’t know if these are obscure movies though..

Yeah, I liked the film as well but, perhaps, on a slightly different emphasis… What about Beowulf, the semi-animated one? I found I enjoyed that one too…

Truthfully, I am not much of a television or movie watcher anymore.
There are a few activities I indulge in that take priority to be honest.
Between writing, socializing on here, playing the few games I do.....there's not much that interests me on television.
And there hasn't been a movie I was willing to spend time and money on in recent years either.
