Was just thinking about this.

A story about a guy who has the strangest day ever, during the day he gets in all kinds of scenario's where he is tempted to have sex. Of course he turns all the girls down/avoids it entirely because he is happily married.
However at the end of the day he arrives home and catches his wife and her lover in their bed.
He fights the lover but during the struggle he falls through his bedroom window.

Then he wakes up in his bed in the morning as the day has started over.

Was thinking of him slowly going from thinking it was just a dream to trying to prevent his wife from cheating to indulging with all the other women since his wife is cheating anyway.
Each day has just 2 things in common, his wife cheats and he dies.

Stuck in an infinite loop of infidelity and sex.

Any other ideas for a scenario like this?

It would seem the only way to a happy ending. Perhaps he's been a bit distant, inattentive perhaps and has to realize this before he can make things right. But it would also be wildly predictable and follow the movie too closely, where the MMC realizes what a jerk he is and becomes a better person.

You want to invert it? He escapes by seducing the person (guy?) that the wife was about to boink. She enters the room just as they finish.

Of course, since he's straight, he spends hundreds of cycles of the time loop learning how to seduce a guy.

I think he would have to come to terms with the fact that things have been going on long before when he catches her in bed. He may realize that since the day repeats itself over and over that saving that relationship should have happened far in the past. This reality is hopeless.

You would have to create a new device to help him keep trying. A magic text saying he needs to fix his relationship in order to stop the time trap. A note to himself in a jacket pocket telling him to find a mysterious person who has the answers. Something, otherwise, to me at least, you would not have incentive to do anything other than play the field each time you wake up because nothing changes.

He decides to go back to that prostitute to learn more. After he plays the field but asks his bed partners for feedback. Steadily he gets better. He tries again with his wife, her comments to the friend has changed to "It was alright."
He sees progres and continues, getting even better at sex, he goes all out and spends a huge amount of loops learning about nearly every kink there is.

Finally he initiates with his wife again, giving her a fucking of a lifetime. This time around as he comes home, finally the other guy is nowhere to be seen, his wife waiting for him in sexy lingerie. She asks him to take her like he did that morning and he does. Afterwards he asks her if she has any kinks she wants to try and they try all sorts of stuff all night. He excells at all of it as the loop is finally broken.

I kind of like this twist. Like “A Friend” in the live Disclosure.

Bonus points if the message giver is his or his wife’s future self. Maybe far in the future one of them dies and the other somehow comes up with a method of sending these messages back. Or maybe the giver is the future version of him that was never stuck in time and wants to fix things. An angel, a demon, or an alien can give him the mission.

I was going to suggest this. I was reminded of something someone said about blocking his friend from banging his wife by sucking his dick. He had a playful tone like he was joking or really just wanted to suck his dick or whatever. But he said the friend had a lot of stamina so he sucked his dick as many times as it took to keep his wife faithful.

Sorry to go and on. But I laughed out loud when I read that. Thought it would make a good story.
