The Department of Government Efficiency (aka DOGE)

Not in a good way and certainly not with any careful understanding of things they are breaking. Generations are going to clean this up. And it's going to cost us more in the long term than is being saved in the short term
History will determine if the disruption is good or bad. Many people are uncomfortable with change. We see them every day with endless grievance threads on this forum. Others voted for change and are embracing it. We accept the finger wagging prophets of doom.

The MSM. They gave him free publicity just by paying attention when they should have ignored him. They gave him attention just because it was good for ratings -- this was freely admitted at the time.
As I recall, the MSM had Jeb Bush as the early front runner, with others like Marco Rubio and Ted Cruz as heavyweight contenders.

It's bad.

Many people are uncomfortable with change.
Change isn't bad. Removing stable systems without an understanding of how they are used or the risk of their removal is idiocy.

Risk management 101.

Break shiit sometimes works in flexible free market corporations. It does not work in government....not should it be tried without any understanding of governing.

I'm all for change with merit. Throwing experts and career officials under the bus because the keyword said to is not change....it's stupidity.

Many will be double dipping under more risky contractors who likely will have more likely ties with our adversaries.

That's just one aspect.

The finger wagging is warranted.

He could have done neither without the MSM.
You’re arguing that the media should have ignored him, despite his fame, celebrity status, and early polls that qualified him for the presidential primary debates. The MSM had to cover him and they did.

But not in the same way they fawned over John Kaisich, Jeb Bush and other Republican candidates. They despised Trump. And the more negative coverage they gave him, the more primaries he won. I was an early supporter of Carly Fiorona but by the time my state’s primary rolled around, Trump had sown up the nomination.

The rest is history. Over a decade of left wing media histrionics has resulted in the greatest political comeback in modern history.

As a manager, I would as well. But I already collect their productivity milestones multiples times a year.

It isn't a good look for the admin who already has come off unaware of Elon's actions. Like why was he taking personal business meetings in the white house and why did 47 shrug that off?
It’s clear Elon Musk has no management experience. This sort of rookie-level stunt is what you see when a junior is promoted over his head.

That's not correct.....he does. He just prefers to disrupt by throwing shit at the fan. In a corporation, this sort of thing does pay off for certain management structures.

In a government, it breaks stable systems which rely on complex organizational cooperation.

In addition, a corporation much more nimble and.flexoble....sp when you break shit, it can be fairly easily rebuilt quickly. Government relies on budgeting and political structures...etc. It takes much longer to rebuild.

I think that may be the exception rather than the rule. I can't imagine entire industries being subjected to those sort of draconian practices....maybe offshore call centers or telemarketing?

Bingo.

Mostly industries that rely more on people than commodities, so yes support teams, developers, it management..etc.

I honestly think there are places in government that could benefit from this and that would react better. But there is no targeting here...just throwing shit at the fan and watching the damage.

Our government should be leaner....I don't have an issue with this. But I have an issue with throwing people under the bus....I have an issue with not understanding expertise (nuclear experts is a good example) And we aren't discussing corporations that have the flexibility of losing market share and still come out ahead ....if the US loses market share....it's to BRICS and we're fucked for decades.

Well that Felon, that twice impeached racist, rapest, orange man, is in the process of taking out the WHOLE DEMOCRAPIC PARTY and We THE PEOPLE voted him in to do that very thing! And if he doesn't do the job we hired him to do, we will simply fire him! Because WE THE PEOPLE have the authority over ALL government! You only can now dream of someone on your side like this! Buckle up, its about to get even more fun!🍿

DEMOCRAPIC PARTY
You are an idiot.
and We THE PEOPLE voted him in to do that very thing!
Don't make that big a deal of it. It wasn't any landslide. It wasn't a realigning election like in 1932. Trump is just not that IMPORTANT. Not like FDR was important.

And whatever emerges after the Sixth Party System will feature Dem hegemony for decades, just like the Fifth. Because the Pub coalition is going to lose its social-religious conservatives -- they will die off, and not be replaced in commensurate numbers by younger generations -- and without those, they don't have a majority, not even in the reddest of counties.

The Pew Political Typology classifies those as Faith and Flag Conservatives. They are 10% of the population -- now -- but they are the oldest typology group, median age 57. Boomers and GenX. And there are few among the Millennials and GenZ who think like they do.

You're a libtard posing as a MAGAT to make other MAGATs look even worse.

Sure he could have…and he did. You’re on to something, but not for the reason you think.

The Legacy Liberal Media (LLM) didn’t’ give him airtime because he was good for ratings so much as they knew he’d tank the Bush boy, and all the other also rans. The only one that “admitted” it was Joe S and his bimbo sidekick he was banging at the time…later to become Mrs S. Even then all they admitted was he could call in at any time and he’d be put on air. I know, I used to watch them religiously back then. He was the foil that would surely fall to Hillary, unlike say a “serious” candidate like Jeb…I mean, she was the smartest person in DeeCee going on 26 yrs at that time. 😂

A funny thing happened on the way to the Forum though…he got wind behind his sails and the mealy mouthed Jeb’s fell to the wayside one by one. This wasn’t due to any LLM influence. This was all Trump. He fought like a bare knuckle street brawler in the debates and interviews and the rest of of the crowd, who’d never been in a fist fight, much less a political fist fight, shriveled up like raisins in the sun.

President Trump has taught us one thing. How to fight. If republicans want to stay in power, they should follow his lead. I say that in the sense of never backing down, and never ever worry what they’re going to call you. You’ll call us that anyway.

And your just a pathetic little communist leftist who really doesn't know his ass from a hole in the ground! now go whine to someone that cares!
