American Immigration Gestapo "ICE" issued an emergency communication to all field agents today to TURN OFF ALL BODY CAMERAS AND KEEP THEM OFF UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE.

ICE agents had been required to wear body cameras since May 2024
. Morale has plummeted at ICE as a result, agents could no longer routinely abuse detainees without potential consequence.

Yesterday morning, some basement dweller on the popular "hate site" called Reddit.com announced he had made an extension to the F-Droid electronic "communication sniffer" app (only available on Android phones) that will analyze Bluetooth chatter and alert you if anyone wearing a bodycam is within bluetooth range of you.

ICE panicked, declared the decline of fucking American civilization was nigh, operational security for ICE had been "severely compromised" because anyone using this app would have a massive "100 yard headstart" to flee from agents.

Yes, ICE seems to think that Bluetooth range extends the entire length of a football field.

Maybe in theory, but has anyone ever gotten ANY Bluetooth device to extend beyond, say, 30 feet?

Nevertheless, ICE now had the cover story it had so desperately prayed to Republican Jesus for. They're gonna get to the bottom of this...someday.

In the interim, we'll just hmmmmm keep those body cameras off to make sure our beloved ICE agents are "safe".

Nothing to see here, citizen, absolutely nothing at all. Literally. Move along!

There is no danger to ICE agents if their proximity is detected -- no one ever fights back. The most that can happen is that the immigrants are gone when they arrive, which is a good thing.

With ICE targeting the most dangerous and violent illegal immigrants first (as per the Trump administration mandate), if ICE officer locations are being broadcast via bluetooth giving such individuals even a few seconds heads up, that is indeed a very serious safety and operational problem.

When has anybody ever fought back against ICE?

If you would like to report suspicious criminal activity:

Call 866-DHS-2-ICE (866-347-2423) (from U.S. and Canada)

The stoopid thing is, I know several cops who wear body-cams and they love them. The malicious complaints disappear as soon as the video is shown and frees them from the stress and distraction. Internal Affairs now have reduced their team from lack of work.

ICE may claim they are targeting the most dangerous and violent illegal immigrants but we know that immigrants commit so few crimes as a collective that there is no way to both do that and hit the numbers Trump needs to hit in order to impress the assholes who voted for him. That's just reality. Nobody ever fights back against ICE, hell fighting back against police is rather rare so pretending this is putting them in serious danger is BS. Now from an operational stance its obviously a huge problem.

I think these tactics do more harm than good. That's not me saying I have any issue with deporting illegals. I really don't. They can take their children with them. There is no reason they can't and every reason they should. Breaking up families is bad enough but that kind of thing happens. These people already don't cooperate with officials, why are we so intent on making it worse?

Oh I forgot to add this to my original post. My Blu Tooth with only a single plaster wall is reliable to 100ft and if all I need is enough signal for the device to know there is a source near by 150. I park on the curb and if I go to get something from the trunk it will cut in and out, in and out . More out than in but that's 150 feet and a plaster wall between us. 30 is child's play. Maybe buy slightly better products. I think these headphones were like $50 bucks so not the cheapest but not super expensive.

ICE does, the Trump administration does, and the American people who voted Trump into power do.

ICE specifically stated that they don't. We know they are lying pieces of shit but there it is. They have claimed the targets, at least initially are the people who would be criminals if we ignored the illegal part of their status. The Trump Admin is fucking evil as are a scary amount of those who voted for them. That said they still claimed they had priorities. If they had been upfront with their goals the election likely would have gone differently.

Dems really need to learn that honesty was never a solid policy.

So in other words, they're initially focusing on those who are criminals beyond just entering the country illegally.

That's a good thing. If your job is to deal with trespassers, it's prudent to first deal with the ones causing more problems than just trespassing.

President Biden was doing THE SAME EXACT THING (only better
and for less money).

Does anybody call that number just on the suspicion that a Spanish-speaker is undocumented?
Inspector Ishmael (now d/b/a @Rebel5soul post-banhammer) now has a special mission in life.

Ish spends half his days now "investigating" known haunts of Spanish speaking "undesirables"
  • Mexican restaurants
  • Bodegas
  • Lavanderias (commercial laundromats)
  • Casual labor pools found on the edges of most Home Depot parking lots
  • Titty bars that have upside down exclamation points in their names ( e.g. Ā”Chicas Muy Calientes! ).

He then "core dumps" his findings each day with a lengthy call to the Federal Snitch line.

He details his discoveries for the day and flirts shamelessly with the women who answer the phone line. He claims to be on a first name basis with all the operators, and that they profusely thank him for being a Good American. He often attempts to arrange to meet these women for "in person briefings"...he's had no luck with that so far, but he keeps trying nonetheless.

He has been doing this for over a month now, an has no clue that he is actually conversing with a Twitter chatbot on the other end of the conversation.

That's what they claim. Given the numbers they are claiming that is at best a generous interpretation of the truth. They'll go in looking for so and so who was dealing drugs or what not but once they find him anybody vaguely Latino within sight is fair game. Which hopefully works out fine but common sense tells me is not how you're going to build trust in the community. If your genuine goal is to get the dangerous criminals located you need to build a relationship with them.
