My story finally passed 25 votes! It's a non-erotic romance about a Selkie and a Printmaker, so I was worried that it wouldn't be able to get enough votes to qualify, but it did it! Now I don't expect it to WIN, but it qualifies, and that's good enough for me!

Next question is: Where is the story list? Other events have them, but I haven't seen one for this one yet

@Actingup thanks for reading it and leaving a comment! I very nearly gave it a sadder ending (He never saw her again, but was forever after blessed by the sea) but then I thought "wait, no, almost everyone made the right choice, it would be very cruel of me to punish them despite that" and so I went back and sliced and diced the story until I could give it the ending that they'd earned.

And I try to make sure my stories sound good if they're read out loud, too, so I'm glad the fireside manner worked here!

Another sweep might be ongoing. My entry went from 4.43/31 to 4.59/32, which is impossible unless someone figured out how to 10-bomb a story.

And now it's 4.66/32. Not only the >5-bombers still going strong, they learned how to be completely invisible in the vote count!

My vote count is down again, but score is the same. But, some of my 750's have popped up 10 points.

Minimal effect on my entries (which are not really in contention), but some non-competition stories I published in LW in December had 6-7% of their votes swept away overnight, for which I've grateful.

Not going to win anything, but I still like this story very much. May have been a bit too preachy.

I'm at 4.54, 28 votes, 1 favorite, 2 comments, and 1.1k views for my non-erotic story, so I'm feeling pretty pleased with myself.

Like, a 4.54! That's like a 90.8%! That's an A-!

I just wish that Hate and Discipline could get a bit of that spillover. Oh well. Can't win em all.

I just want to see where I start before the sweeps, and where I end up after the trolls are filtered out.....no changes that I noticed from sweeps over the last few days so this is a good starting point.



Okay, 10.20am and a sweep went thru....lost 7 votes and jumped to 4.87. Die, trolls. Die!!!!!

Yes, there's usually a sweep or two the night before.
