The 2025 750 Word Story Challenge Support Thread

I have my first(?) submission ready to submit, but, as has happened in the past, I'm stuck on finding the right category. It started out as a straightforward foot worship story, but has morphed into a gender neutral romance (these characters just won't act the way I want them to). So, I appeal to the wisdom of the crowd here: how would you classify a story that is intentionally gender neutral (no gender designations are stated or inferred in the story), starts with foot worship and ends with "I love you, my pet," with nary an orgasm in sight?

The Sci-Fi one is definitely turning into a longer story, possibly a series, the other two are self-contained one-offs that make me smile, regardless of how other people feel about them

Wow. My stories have gotten a "it's too short" voter backlash overnight. I'm not concerned. I've matured past the ratings fixation by now, but it's still interesting.

I put (750 words) in the titles and a short note at the top of mine explaining what that was, and I haven't gotten any negative comments about length. I do have fewer views though, so it must be pre-filtering people that don't like flash fiction

Certainly many of the authors in fetish do. I find them disgusting. I could not imagine putting my nose near one let alone my mouth. I prefer the other stories in those categories.

Your landlady story could have been expanded a bit but it would not have changed the story much. Simply an older woman who was getting her jollies with her two boarders. The one thing that surprised me was the one guy comes in an showers before going to bed. The woman has been screwing all night and he just climbs aboard. No care he is not only getting sloppy seconds, she hasn't even bothered to rinse off. But you have to leave out something with a 750 word story.

I made a rookie mistake:

It got kicked back for underage sex. Removing 1 word led to an edit led to another led to having to find a new 7-word sentence to get it back to 750.
