I do enjoy a hot hot tub but you aren't suppose to drink when you are in them. You might get overheated.

There’s the state of the world, of course. I’m glad for you that you’re in Europe and not where I’m at (until my family can gtfo). Yet I have come to terms with many difficult things, years ago. One can only mourn and rage so long. I have to find the glimmers of light. LitE and this thread are glimmers for me. I’ll raise a cuppa tea to embers of good and keep alight the ones I can.

I'm just tired, stress, and physically vaguely off - probably still a little convalescent from the weird, persistent cold that lasted 2,5 weeks and got everything piling up in the mean time. The classical sick'an'tired of being sick'an'tired, and lacking balance.
Indeed, I don't have to worry about the local president. Just local right-wing government, and then our crazy neighbour, the "Bear" who's definitely awake these days. If I let them to my mind, that is. I'm trying my best to avoid news as I prefer to keep my sanity. I don't need to know all details to do my part for a better world.
I hope you are safe, at least.

I’m safe. My trans and queer friends, not so much. We support them as we can. You’re right about news. Not glancing at any today. Maybe none this whole week. Yeah, the bear is a lousy neighbor and the right is all over. If nothing else, I plan to outlive a lot of the current crop.
Stay warm, dry, and comfy if possible.

I too am so worried for my trans and queer friends, for POC and those with insecure immigration status and those who are food and housing insecure.
Stay warm and dry. Protect yourself so you have the capacity to help protect others when that day arrives.
