I have this great Norwegian joke that I want to put into a 750 word story... it's going to be filled with lots of fluff to get past 350 words.

Challenge accepted, even though you didn't actually issue one. I wasn't going to do anything for the challenge this year, but have the perfect joke... Nice long shaggy dog story that just happens to have a sex scene in it.

I've got 3 queued, 4th ready to go. Two of them are photo prompts and for one I managed to use all 4 photos. Is it cheesy crap? Likely so. But it was fun.

I suspect I'll squeeze out a couple more or so. Whether they are any good or not will be up to the anonymous 1-star bots I suppose.

Correct. As long as you have the Admin Note, it'll be held until at least the first day.

I sent one story, 750 words on the spot. I had read through the pages here and doing a story as a set up for something bigger. Great idea, gang, thank you.

Maybe I'll sneak in one more before I start thinking about April Fool's Day.

Should be fine. This is not an official contest but a challenge. I would recommend, as you mentioned, to make sure it is a standalone story or the voters may otherwise take out their frustrations at the ballot box.

Okay, seven 750-word stories, one Valentine's Day Contest entry, and considering one Pink Orchard entry. Now, the Valentine's entry was written sometime back. I did a minor edit for the contest. Same with the Pink Orchard, it needs a little change here and there, and it'll be good to go.

It's nice to finish something. I got my first one done, of the planned two 750 word stories for this year. It should surprise no one that it is a young men/older woman story, short but sweet.

Edit - finished a second 750. This will go in non-con I think. Still a young people/older woman story, short but not so sweet.

I've just submitted one, which is in the New list for 1st February. It's a standalone Emma and Bobbie story, and will sit as part of that Series.

I keep a text box available in my draft folder specifically to get word counts. I just have to make sure I don’t hit ‘review and publish’.
