Sex & Shenanigans

When I first saw that I thought it said “Fuck off Jim Reading”

And I was wondering what the fuck did Jim Reading do to deserve that?
He stole my girlfriend in college, then plagiarized my paper on the use of classic metaphor in the works of Geoffrey Chaucer. Fucker couldn't even read Middle English. Iliterate bastard.

I hold a grudge.

Fuck… that’s some heavy shit. I’m sorry to hear that.

I know him. I always thought he was a nice guy.

does anyone else think at the beginning of every year … wow .., it’s 2025 (or whatever year it is)… like you’re amazed the earth made it this far?
YES!!! I can’t even understand how I am still alive. All the stupid things I have done?

And the earth, the country, so much hatred and name calling going on… and wasn’t is supposed to end on New Years 2000? And then it was 2012 because some Mayans (who themselves are all dead) said it would…

How are we still here??

On the Mayan long count (and there are about 7 million Mayans still kicking around), December 21st, 2012 was the end of the Fourth World Long Count and start of the Fifth. Period. There was nothing in their worldview about this being the end of the world, just the end of the long count. We, as usually, took it and created a mythology about it, which led to books, websites, and crappy, crappy, crappy movies.

But the Mayans were not apocalyptic, they were just happy we survived a Count.

And how do I know this? I was an obsessive Shadowrun geek...(even in 1st Ed was close to unplayable. The mythology was incredible!)

I didn't see this earlier, dreamy... thank you for sharing. And I did know most of that... I have no idea what a shadowrun is... but that's okay. 🥰
