The legitimate uses of privately owned firearms are:
1. Personal/home defense.
2. Hunting.
3. Gun collecting as a hobby.
4. Target shooting as a sport/hobby.
And that's all. End of list. Note that none of these are political uses. They have nothing to do with "defending freedom." There are no circumstances, none at all, in which you get to bear arms against LEOs, or the National Guard, or the Army.

So just why, for what purpose, did the Founding Fathers codify the natural rights of Citizens to bear arms, having fought and prevailed against the British Crown...their own Government at the time?
I realize for many it is an issue that is hard to grasp.
Such an angry little man.Southerners are the pollution that is destroying this country, and I say that as an umpteenth-generation Floridian.
The problem with the US is that people have forgotten about the Hatfields and McCoys.
And so has the government.
Move to Europe. This country's love affair with guns is revolting. ..And we're so far gone we don't see it for what it is - a twisted, psychotic fetish.
I saw one of the new Operator AOS's at the local shop today.......

Might have to pick one up in GAWDZ caliber as St. John Moses Browning intended the 1911 to be.
Not that there is anything wrong with that I just wish they had them in 10mm so I could have both.![]()

Vegas doesn't take into account that during a real, full out revolution, that some, perhaps even a majority of the military and their assets, either will not kill their fellow citizens or will join the rebel forces. No one knows, or will know, what would happen until it does happen. The PR disaster that would occur if tanks and fighter planes killed hundreds or thousands of citizens would leave long lasting wounds.Previously discussed.
Vegas has odds of your "Army" lasting more than 30 minutes against a real army at 100:1.
.45 ALL THE WAY!!

To facilitate a militia-based national defense system. Not to facilitate insurrection -- the militia was conceived as an arm of the state, not a countervailing force against it -- that is why the Constitution authorizes the president to command the militia. So just why, for what purpose, did the Founding Fathers codify the natural rights of Citizens to bear arms, having fought and prevailed against the British Crown...their own Government at the time?

Not so much.Such an angry little man.
I wonder if you took time to analyze why the majority of the country voted like the south during this last election. Even most of the north voted against the corrupt demorats and their woke nonsense.
That's never going to happen.Vegas doesn't take into account that during a real, full out revolution, that some, perhaps even a majority of the military and their assets, either will not kill their fellow citizens or will join the rebel forces.
9mm.
If someone would hand me full mags, I could conquer the world with a 1911 in 9mm. They are fast, light, accurate, and you can shoot one all day long without much fatigue.
Especially if you use Cop KillerTM ammo.
Mmmhmmm but if I'm doing 9mm I like a double stack.9mm.

Normal ammo works just fine for me because I know how to hit my target and don't need special heart-seeker ammo to get 'r done.
Besides, according to some, a regular 9mm will blow your lungs out. No one needs to blow off both arms and legs in addition to that. So that rules out specialized ammo along with AR-15's and other weapons of war.
9mm. No one needs more than that along with a really strong desire to rule the world to become Emperor of de Earf.

Yes, it does.It also doesn't require the militia to obey POTUS
No, it isn't. The FFs certainly never had this kind of thing in mind. It's a civilian defense force separate from the state

"Private military force not authorized or commanded by the state" is not the definition of militia. It's the literal definition of militia.
