But I like a good wish corruption/monkeys paw story.

Effectively character wishes a sexual fantasy would come true and they get it, but not how/when/or why they want it.

For example:

Guy in high school goes to a fountain and wishes he could have sex with his crush. Chucks the coin in and…nothing happens.

12 years later, he’s happily married to a girl he met in his new town…when by weird happenstance, he runs into his high school crush who is single and really finds him attractive…really, really attractive. Guy of course tries to turn her down but his words suddenly change to flirting back at her and his cock starts getting hard. He’s getting his wish…just long after he wanted it.

Or: guy fantasizes about getting to see his neighbor naked. He makes a wish and it’s granted…now all he can see is his neighbor naked 24/7…and not a thing else.

Or woman dreams of being able to dominate any man with a single look or touch of her finger. It goes quite well and she has a number of wonderful flings…but then she takes an Uber home one day and and she taps the driver on the shoulder when he misses a turn…and she now has mere seconds to try and get him to stop the car as he’s now in a submissive Stubor and about to barrell into an intersection.

Stories like that.

This sounds like a nightmare. It’s an interesting concept but I don’t think it would be very popular. Unless you’re the kind of author who enjoys messing up their characters’ lives. Leave them a way out if you can is my advice. And then see if they can get there. I always applaud Stephen King’s characters more when I see them escape their horror stories than when they don’t. Same for a lot of other writers.

Oh they could have ways out depending on the type of character they are:

First guy has to realize why the wish is coming back and then properly reject it: not just because it’s the right thing but because it’s no longer what he wants.


Second guy is a bit of a sleazeball so his shouldn’t be easy but maybe he comes to recgonize how wrong his wish was as with his new disability people start looking down on and degrading him.

The woman in the third story could be someone who was too nervous to even make a request of someone so she has to completely reject her new power or stand up for herself without them.

Of course they can also fail to get better and fall deeper into being trapped by the wish.

Oh, it is quite popular. The old Wishmaster movie (and it's three sequels) all used the concept, as have countless short stories and TV episodes.

Yeah, I know it’s popular. I just want there to be a way out for the characters involved. Maybe for the first scenario… let’s call the three leads Ben, Maddie, and Amy. Ben had a crush on Maddie, it didn’t work out. So he dated and married Amy instead. Now all of a sudden, years later, Maddie is coming after Ben like in the movie Swimfan (that’s where I got the names). But she is actually respecting Ben’s boundaries. Continuing her demands but not going Fatal Attraction. And her crush is real and can’t be escaped.

Except… Amy is motivated to give her man some peace. And she realizes Maddie is beautiful and might be into her as well as Ben. So, with backing from Ben, she hunts down Maddie and politely informs her “the gateway to his dick is through my pussy!” And Maddie agrees, then ends up their unicorn or co-spouse as the author prefers. Suddenly we have a better story (in my opinion).

Edit- I like the OP’s ideas too. But if they have to drown Maddie in a swimming pool to get rid of her, warning- it’s been done.

You make the sex hot enough, it goes both ways. I’ve written plenty of celebrity parodies with erotic themes. You can look at my work on Lit for examples.

To stay on topic, for the third scenario the woman is over time bored by being able to get what she wants so easily. So, to change it up, she tells a guy “I want you to act towards me exactly how you would if you were not under my spell.” Suppose then he still wants her. Or she tells him “Surprise me”. Now we have a twist.

I love this. The tension of him trying to find anyone but always failing.
I'd love if he slowly falls in love with her because he realizes he didn't say "hot" but "beautiful" and she is the most beautiful person he has ever known - physically, emotionally, in character - everything.

I always thought a Series type of Story, or even a real-life business venture... although... an illegal one...might be where a Madam sets it up where a person's fantasy comes true. It does not really matter what it is; but for an enormous fee, they are paid to make it come true.

Stunning brunette having sex on top of the Eiffel Tower at night? Yep, they somehow make it come true.

It could be a series based almost entirely on outlandish settings, or focus on what it would take for the original person to join again in the fun. By the latter I mean almost in Indecent Proposal style. The original lady is happily married, so what would it take for the paid-madam to break those bonds of matrimony and recreate that time with the wealthy man? In that it would almost be a phycological thriller.

In the real world, I bet a lot of fantasies would be rather mundane, and about reliving a person's first time in the same setting. For instance, the person lost their virginity with JennyLuo in Grandpa's woodworking shop, and so a now wealthy person would want to recreate that again. I bet there would be money in that, but also a story or two...

It's extremely dangerous to wish something as or in relative to something else.

In a classic Dutch fairytale it went something along this:

Dutchman walked in woods, met the woodland spirit and wished to be as rich as Rick, dance as well as Jack, and be as quick with words as Peter. Promised the wishes granted he went to the club and danced until Jack broke a leg, then won Rick's entire fortune from him in cards and when he tried to explain how it goes he's broke it turned out Peter was dead drunk.

In our version, someone might want a girl as beautiful as [celebrity] who then fails a cosmetic operation (or just wash off cosmetics); be as virile as [pornstar] who actually can get it up only with the help of fluffers, etc.
