Well, I would say that its worth seeing regardless of whether or not your a fan or have read the books. But I was disappointed with it over all.
Especially if you haven't read the books, there is not a lot of character development, at the end of the movie, I still wasn't sure I understood the characters and their motives enough to care about what happened to them.... Which is important to a movie. I couldn't idenify with the characters. Also, way too many soul searching looks, entire scenes of eyes locked in unrequited passion. It was a bit much for me. There was so much that could have been explained better.
Anyway, it did have some redeeming moments, and I'm no mocue critic at any rate. I would still recommend seeing it just to have your own opinion.
