Why so little...

One item of clothing I have rarely seen female characters wearing is overalls. I thought these would be more popular in tomboy stories...

Possibly because I know a box wrench from a pair of pliers several of my characters wrench on things, and often do so in overalls. Often just overalls and nothing else (write what you know), sometimes stripping down naked in front of others before putting on said overalls. Because they don't want to get oil on their good clothing doncha know.

But so-far it has not been the focus of a story (perhaps Francine should do an employee presentation :) ).

Ahh, but Pam wore 'em well.

In Ghost, right?

Yes, Demi Moore was wearing overalls in a scene in Ghost.

In 'Bill & Ted Face The Music' from 2020 Ted's daughter Thea - played by Australian actress Samara Weaving - is wearing short denim overalls through most of the film, and looks very pretty in them.

Those are the ones. But everything I've found is a side shot, headshot, not a full-on body shot. God, she was beautiful.

The generation who got to know Kylie Minogue from Neighbours before she became a pop singer likely have fond memories of overalls.

'Charlene' certainly found 'Scott' (Jason Donovan)'s spanner.

Having been a Lit reader for a very long time, I'm always surprised when I come across a kink or fetish that's under-represented or even non-existent. There may be stories that touch on these topics, but they never really go all out.

I’m confused. What do you mean, “never really go all out”? I can’t claim to cover all of the below, but…

[*]MMMF stories (where things get airtight, if ya know what I mean ;))

Many of my various contest entries in my sig, my Summer Lovin 2019, Nude Day 2020, Winter Holidays 2019, all have 3 men on 1 woman at least once. Geek Pride 2021 has 1 woman taking on 2 men and another woman more than once.

Almost the main theme of my Valentine’s Day 2021 entry is two women challenging each other to a series of at minimum 3 men at once gang fucks. Rachel goes for a simultaneous 5 men and 2 women gangbang for her finale.

[*]Non-kinky pegging stories

What does ‘non-kinky’ mean? My A Dream of Age and Beauty has pegging as a key plot point. But, to the MF couple it’s just… normal. In one scene they even make a joke about it by discussing it in a semi-public setting (a cafe) when they challenge each other and the ‘award’ for meeting each challenge is one gets to fuck the other up the ass, but none of that otherwise. They do this intentionally in the hearing of a young woman at the cafe, who was eavesdropping on them and they noticed. Is that ‘kinky’? A couple of my other stories also include pegging but it involves some minor characters, not the MCs, and is described but not in as much detail as this one.

Sure, I’ll cop to not having gotten to the others. And no, no smoking in mine, just not something that interests me.

Sometimes there are incidental mentions of x, y or z but these aren't the focal points even if the tagging leads on that they will be. That's a little frustrating when you're looking for a particular thing, as I tend to.

A lot of these stories exist, but they are under-represented and they sometimes get buried in search results if you aren't super specific.

Some subjects are just hard to convey, or controversial with readers, so I think authors might want to delve into it but pull back. I've definitely seen it with bi-curiousity on the part of male characters or even just when heterosexual men receive anal sex or participate in group sex with other men involved.

It's not the universal posture. Still, as someone who is interested in those things I've often left stories wishing it had been more explicitly engaged with.

What does ‘non-kinky’ mean?

Not as the product of femdom. This ties with the above again... Some heterosexual men simply enjoy anal sex. Yet, it's rarely framed in 'vanilla' terms, which I think is a shame and probably reflects social attitudes.

Again, not universally true but certainly under-represented. So, I'm glad you've linked to a story, which I'll definitely be adding to my ever-growing reading list (this thread has been really helpful in that regard).

From awhile back, love triangle with mom and two sons

https://www.literotica.com/s/i-want-mom-too

A couple instant spottings:

That regiment had kept my long legs looking good, my ass nice and firm and my stomach was still nice and flat.

Probably "regimen."

"I used to be full of you!" I snapped, "Now I got a draw full of batteries and I'm not full of myself, but I'm lying here with my fucking tits a foot from your face and you're not even looking at them."

Probably "drawer" and a period, not comma, after "snapped."

Where do you draw a line between a fetish and a kink?

For fetish, Merriam-Websters definition 1c is:

an object or bodily part whose real or fantasied presence is psychologically necessary for sexual gratification and that is an object of fixation to the extent that it may interfere with complete sexual expression

The Oxford Dictionary definition 1 is:

A form of sexual desire in which gratification is strongly linked to a particular object or activity or a part of the body other than the sexual organs.

Those are very different definitions -- one being an object and the other an emotion. I tend to use the Merriam-Webster definition because it can be used to distinguish between a fetish and a kink.

I think most of what's been talked about here would be kinks--unusual sexual inclinations--rather than fetishes. Clothing, as it's talked about in this thread, is probably not a kink or a fetish. It's just something people find more or less attractive.

Now, if sex with a girl in a school uniform really gets you off, then maybe that's kinky. If your lover has to be in a school uniform to turn you on, then the uniform is a fetish.

Writing stories set in the past when knee socks were more common they come up in quite a few of my works. In my stories set in the 1950s, the female characters are often referenced as wearing bobby socks. In my story 'Sexy Savannah From Number 9' the titular character Savannah is shown wearing black knee-length boots with a blouse and mini-skirt, but she does remove the boots and has bare feet when she has sex.

Let's go to the videotape. College students in 1947 (Manhattanville College, now part of City College):

Some bobby sox, but also shoes and sandals that may or not be combined with nylons - I can't really tell, but skirts/dresses were virtually mandatory. College women didn't look like that thirty years later. (The building in the background later became Finley Hall, which is often a setting for my stories.)

New York girls in the 1970s:

Obviously going to a Catholic school. Public school girls were almost always, with a few exceptions, in blue jeans. I had one girl in my school who did wear white knee socks and she caught my attention.

The girl in the middle has no qualms about showing off her crotch.

Are there really exceptionally few MMMF stories? Is this conclusion based on tag searches? I've written a fair few stories with three men and one woman, some of which do and some of which don't include the tag "MMMF" . The problem with those tags is that they may mean different things to different people. For threesomes, MMF may be interpreted as male bisexual encounters whereas MFM indicates a lucky female in the middle and no interaction between the males. That distinction can't be made with more than two men. (Though I'm happy to learn if you know of a way).

I've even written one one with an "MMMMMMF" tag. It had, like my other group stories, no male-on-male sex and was told from 3rd person perspective of the female. She was blindfolded for a large part of the story, making it less necessary to distinguish between the people around her. That's one way to circumvent pronoun confusion.

Which kinks are most popular on sites like these probably varies for several reasons. The first is that a lot of authors actively target the desires that will reach a big audience. If you write about something that fewer people like, you'll have a smaller audience - it could be as simple as that.

On sites like Fetlife and others, I've noticed that some kinks are varying in popularity. Lately, for instance, the "daddy dom / little girl" kink has been on the rise, partly because it's becoming more acceptable as a fetish in the kink community, but also because more and more people start to experiment with it as it garners attention. Basically, it's become fashionable. This happens with all sorts of fetishes, I'm guessing.

May I ask what gooning is? And Japanese Kissing is different how? Would hate to be missing a kink...

Urban Dictionary is your friend.

Gooning =

For males: the act of becoming completely self-absorbed with your penis and masturbation, such that your face and mannerisms takes on the personality of a goon: tongue out, vacant expression, grunting, muttering. Men gooning often prefer hours of edging/erection to actual release/orgasm. An artifact of modern times and plentiful porn.

(If you partake in roleplay on the interwebs, which I once did to try and break writer’s block, it’s a big thing among some guys. It ties in with wanting to be cucked etc.)

Japanese Kissing =

A kiss where tongues are active and moving fast (unlike French kissing) and the chin always gets wet after the kiss (and sometimes the nose too). Lots of saliva involved, and typically lasts half an hour or more. Breast fondling sometimes included.

Not to burst your bubble... And it could be related to the fact the fact that I've fucked the same eight people 1,000 times rather than 1,000 people eight times. But as a woman who has enjoyed being blindfolded and restrained while being fucked I can absolutely tell who it is who is doing what. People, both male and female, have styles.

I actually wrote a story about a game we used to play called: "who is it," where someone was restrained and fucked and afterwards they had to say who it was who did what.

I think it has more to do with what the themes the writer enjoys writing than the audience, although, if the writer sees there's an audience for what they write at the site, that might encourage her/him to continue submitting stories there. If you have two or three regular writers writing the same kink at a site, the site will become known as specializing in that. It eventually becomes influenced by readers gathering there, but I think it has more to do with what the writers want to write.

That's a kink? It sounds pretty normal to me.

I guess most of these guys wouldn't be finding a cure for cancer anyway. In the 19th Century, they'd probably be whittling (I don't mean on their cocks, but "a time-occupying, non-artistic process of repeatedly shaving slivers from a piece of wood.").

So, realizing that at Literotica a substantial number (I hope just a vocal subset of the total) of readers don't want even a whiff of M-M, there are still ways that a gal can have a good time with more than two men.

Gals have three, sometimes four orafices, although simultaneous urethral and vaginal penetration would be damned difficult. (As a general rule, I never say anything is impossible.) Double vaginal or double anal penetration is possible (the latter while also being penetrated vaginally). While that's three penises right there, two of those penises are rubbing up against one another. (Which is cool in my book but not everyone's.)

Add one in the mouth (or deeper) and that's three or four. Plus I have two hands. I've been "gal in the middle" with seven players, they weren't all men, but they could have been. Two gals holding my legs, two holding my arms, and a penis at each end of my digestive tract-- God that's fun.

Now I’m quite interested in reading the original YA scene! I first encountered it on Lit, years ago. While I knew it was pretty much bullshit, I’ve also always wanted to write a scene based around the concept to add to the dozen or so that already live here.

As you say, it’s rife for fiction. It’s playful and silly and sexy. Plus, anything that leans into moral panic is automatically more interesting (though I don’t think we’ve had a bout of proper American moral hysteria over sex in year, but I’m only an observer so I wouldn’t know).

Well, the current moral panic is much darker and horrifying - the straight up bonkers QAnon-inspired Wayfair panic of last summer springs to mind.

I can't remember which came first, but there was a YA scene and also a book on youth sexuality that highlighted it as an issue - written by a fundamentalist Christian doctor. I am super fascinated with urban legends and moral panics, so I did a deep dive some years back, sprung from my original fascination with the Satanic Panic of the 80s and 90s. Of course there have been other big panics in recent years, - Tide pods, killer clowns, the Momo sculpture, etc.

I actually remember being pretty upset about the rainbow party panic because it reinforced the worst of what many wanted to believe about young women. Sluts at heart, and also stupid and subservient, asking for no pleasure of their own. This was the same year that the First Lady of Maryland said that, if she could, she'd like to shoot Britney Spears. These were the years when Maury Povich was revealing paternity results on air and it became way more popular to show the woman being wrong about who the father of her baby was than to show that a father was being held to account. I mean, both things are so trashy, it was disgusting, but uuuuuuuugggggggghhhhhhhh.

Sorry, I don't mean to hijack this thread; I know I have veered far off of your original topic. This stuff is just fascinating to me.
