What's The Best Writer Advice You've Ever Received

I'm guessing it meant that the reader got a bit of a break, time to wind down and assimilate after an intense scene. A chance to go to the bathroom or the fridge.
Hahaha - oh, okay, that makes more sense. I don't write FanFic, but I imagine for someone who does, getting the "tempo" of the original source material right would be a form of high praise in the genre.

Was said by a fellow attendee at a short story writing thing I attended about 30 years ago.

As a probable ADHD person, I'll start writing... smash out a bunch of words... Come back later and before I continue, I'll start drafting what I've written.

Never completed many a story that way.

At least if you write it all out first, you've got your story... THEN you can worry about making sure everything is correct.
