What do your stories try to do?

I hope you're not disappointed :) If you were to believe most trans threads you'd get the impression we're all unhinged. I suspect that to save the trans boat from sinking in the sea of fetishism on this site requires a bigger bucket than I own and a determination I lack.

My MC is usually trans, but her label is never the focus of the plot. I prefer to portray her as someone who has passion and fun despite being trans and in my make-believe world, is accepted without fanfare... That probably disappoints quite a few readers and several have commented the story wasn't what they expected, but enjoyed it all the same. Job done.
Everybody is fetishized. It's just how the typical mind works. Erotica probably wouldn't exist it somebody never said; "gods damn, I wish I could fuck them." Porn might not exist either. That fetishization can turn into something else, could be something deeper.

Being attracted to someone doesn't necessarily mean that you're fetishizing them. Fetishizing someone means (roughly) seeing them as a sexy thing instead of a sexy person; it means putting their type (trans, Asian, thicc, etc.) ahead of who they are as an individual.

That's what I mean by turn into something else. I know what fetishizing is, I'm a tall black man with an above average dick.

I think you're doing a disservice to romance and human connection by saying that it all starts with fetishizing, though.

I think there are many people in the world who could get to know you as a person and get to like you before they even found out how big your dick is.

I'm not saying it does, I'm saying it can. And most people do because I don't walk around in grey sweatpants, but that's besides the point that I'm a fetishized archetype, so I get it. Even without seeing it, I'm tall and black, still, and it's assumed. Those who got to know me as a person is a tangent to the topic. Simply put; attraction and genuine desire can come from fetishization, not always, but it's possible. It's called personal growth to see beyond the outside of a person. I'm not always bothered by it, to me; it's only bad depending on what one is looking for and what side they stand on, ergo subjective. Because, like a said; it could lead to something deeper. It has for me on both sides.

I looked at this question and realized that I am trying to provide readers with a sex-soaked story that is plausible enough that the reader can believe these events have happened or could have happened. If it feels real, it feels all the more erotic. Erotic is my operative word, and at the core of it all, I tell stories that intend to get you off. I happen to write good stories to deliver that intensity. This is not only what I do; it's what I want.

when I write a story, my purpose is to titillate. I write pure jack off material with a bit of piss off the BTB crowd.

An author recently asked me to read a story. It was well written, but I was trying to figure out what he was trying to accomplish. To me it was just a description of something that happened. To me, It read like a news story.

what are your goals for your stories? Make someone feel something? titilate? chronicle an event?
I have but one goal...
Enjoyment.
I write for fun, for pleasure and my own entertainment.
I have no agenda. My stories do not seek to politicise or fulfil some hidden doctrine.
I don't write to please readers of a certain persuasion. I simply pile a bunch of words together. Rearrange them into something that resembles a story.
Trying to please others is a fruitless ambition.
Please thyself, extract every calory of fun...

I write the stories I want to read. Basically, I ran out of stuff to read by Onehitwanda (and Brokenspokes, careythomas, JCMcNeilly, bi_cathy, limentina, etc) and was too impatient to wait for her to post something new, so started writing my own pale imitations to tide me over until the next Wanda hit.

In that sense, it's all about the feels. I think I'm also really interested in moments of discovery and realisation. Trying to recapture that first moment when you realise something deep and profound about your feelings and identity. You maybe only go through it once in your life (if at all), but by writing characters who do, perhaps I can provide readers (and myself) with an echo of their own.
