I used to work for internal audit. We got monthly reports from IT of websites browsed by staff. The reports were focused on the amount of time staff spent on non work related websites. Worst offenders were ebay (and similar) browsers, real estate was very popular, there were always a few porn watchers but generally they didn't spend a lot of time on such sites. The monitoring program was well known by all staff, they tended to be careful. Mind you this was back in the day before social media was as popular as it is now. First offenders were spoken too, repeat offenders were referred to HR and received varying degrees of discipline up to dismissal.Someone is always watching what you're watching.
