I don't think the pretty kitty is modeled after the pink panther. I do, though think that she might be a cross between the panther and one of the yellow Siamese cats from Lady and the Tramp, and with a jeweled collar.

You'd want to keep it on the whole time, which means subjecting it to showers (for cleaning and possibly other kinds), possible contamination by viscous body fluids, and pulling force if the collar includes a ring for a leash. It's definitely worth considering all these factors, in addition to appearance. Maybe a jeweled leather dog collar would be a good choice?

Any well loved collar is going to show signs of wear and tear soon enough. You can have a vinyl one for shower/wet play and a leather one for other times and a bejeweled one for show. To start
