Imagine the effect that this scene had on me when I saw the film back in 1988. I was young, very single, and I hadn't even seen a woman in lingerie before (yes, I had a sheltered early life!).

Incredibly, the scene springs up from nowhere in the later stages of the film. As I recall, Charlotte Lewis (the gorgeous actress) spent the first half of the film wearing non-revealing tops and trousers, and on the periphery of various grisly but non-sexual goings-on. I was almost nodding off to sleep when the sudden change in tone arrived. After seeing it, I couldn't get to sleep!

I had no video recorder or DVD player, and the film wasn't repeated, so I could only subsequently replay the scene in my memory. It was etched very firmly in there, though, and reviewing the screen shots 25 years later isn't any let down. If I had been able to at the time, then I would probably have spent many happy hours taking advantage of the "freeze frame" and "frame advance" facilities.

It reminds me of the nurse in American Werewolf in London.

Wow! How could I have missed out on the loveliness of Jenny Agutter? My main recollection of her is from The Railway Children, although I've seen American Werewolf as well.
