I don't think there ever was a URL- it's just a pic of herself that I cropped w/ Picture it. She sent it to me via email from her own camera...

Yes.
First, post the picture to one of your threads.
Then, after the post, right click on the attachment for that picture...
Select copy shortcut from the popup menu.
Now, you must go edit your profile.
In the text box where your sig line content is, you must use the tag and paste your shortcut between the start and end tag.. Like this:
Then save your editing and see if the image link works ok.
You might talk to some members that you see with pictures in their sig line. They can copy and paste their sig. line text to a message to you also.

I'm glad you liked it, I liked it so much I put it in my sig line. I very rarely have images there, but this one fits me well. I see now that it's a little big, so I resized it and attached it again...LOL.

Oh boy....never ask what will go wrong next, that's when everything that you don't want to happen happens.
