Ok, I looked and this definitely isn't the first thread on this subject, but all the other ones are old and lacking IMHO.

Use your search engine of choice if you already weren't aware and take a look at these kits, read reviews, look on here for what others have said, and check the porn tubes for how-tos. If interested, keep reading.

Bought the standard kit for my wife's birthday. Figured it'd be fun and there's always room for another toy in the nightstand drawer.

What a fucking disaster.

First, the mold stuff sets too quickly. Instructions say 90º water, but at that temp it's setting before you can mix it all up. I read reviews about how you should get a second pack of the mold powder and did, but both ended in disappointment.

Unless you're a walking boner or snort viagra, it's definitely going to take two people. Even with two people it's not super easy. Keep yourself hard while one person mixes, fills the mold, then hurry up and get your dick in there just perfect before it sets. And it sets FAST.

All the pressure of the first epic failure carried over to our second attempt and killed at least half of my boner, plus everything was all clumpy and half mixed and still setting too damn fast. 2nd epic failure.

So I go on Amazon, buy some higher quality mold alginate that takes a little longer to set at a much lower temp and tried it again. WORLD of difference. Maybe the problem with the 'official stuff' was just the instructions - the temperature. The good stuff, for dental molds worked much better either way. Mixed super quick, set EXACTLY as the instructions said it would, but I kinda messed it up by pulling out a little early. I think another 15 seconds beyond the official time would have made it better.

Also, the tube provided with the kit is plenty big for almost any guy, I'm sure. I'm pretty girthy and the tube was plenty big, however it leaves little room for error. I touched the side and you could see it in the mold when I was done, but didn't make a big deal with the final product. If you got a curve they tell you to do all sorts of origami with the tube, but I can only imagine disasters at that point.

Wife and I got me going, she mixed everything up and filled the tube while teasing me with a little lapdance, then put it on me. 30s to mix, 1min to fill tube, 1min in the thing to set it. That's at ~75º, warmer sets faster, colder sets slower.

Def lost a little detail and size on the boner being stuck in that thing, but honestly the final product is pretty damn close. Like I said above, another 15s would have made a real difference as the mold seemed to shrink a little and deform slightly when I left it overnight to cure. Bottom line, it's ~95% accurate in size/shape/detail.

The silicone itself was pretty straightforward. Lots of people have issues with bubbles, but we didn't seem to have much of a problem... only one noticeable bubble that left a crater in the final product. Seems like the key here is to pour the silicon mix VERY slow and VERY steady. Think of a faucet that's just barely running past a drip.

Vibrating insert does as it's supposed to, but seems pretty cheap. Well, definitely pretty cheap.

I couldn't get the finished product out of the mold so I had to destroy the tube and mold, then used a razor to clean up the end and the place where I touched the tube through the mold.

Overall it's a fun project and we're going to make another one. Next time I'm just going to buy all the stuff individually from Amazon. I'm going to used a MUCH larger container, get the balls in there too. Also looking at some releasing agents so the mold is preserved for multiple runs in order to experiment on different silicones - harder/softer, and play with vibrating options.

Wife also wants to make a double-ended version for her to play with her friends. If we can pull that off, I'll be sure to post it too.

I got my supplies from:

https://www.brickintheyard.com/

They are a theatrical supply company.

Everything worked just fine,

The casting material shrinks a little thouhgh. That's normal . IT does create a perfect match!
