A couple years ago some friends had a disagreement about compliments—some thought compliments about your mind/personality were more discerning and therefore more meaningful than about physical attributes; others thought those compliments were usually just trying too hard and physical compliments were more honest.

Then we started talking about the perfect compromise compliment. The winner was
“I hope your mind is as beautiful as your ass.”

I'm keeping that for future use
