Riona watched as she sat with her other sisters as Dane interacted with Selna. She trusted her mate but she didn't trust her sister.

Selna shook her head, eating quickly as she watching the strange man sit next to her. She wondered why he was paying so much attention to her if he was her sister's mate.

Dane got up and walked back to Riona.

Dane kissed her back while petting her hair. He was so glad the argument blew over, but he would have to be careful not to upset Riona another time.

"So...you said your sisters like to play?"

Dane grinned and rushed to the nearest selkie he could get to, intent on grabbing her before she went to the water.

He wasn't sure if Selna would be joining the others.

Riona laughed as she heard one of her sister's squeal in happiness as Dane started to chase them. She herself raced along the sand, trying to outrun her mate as he turned and started coming for her.

Seeing Riona running off, he turned to her and started chasing her.
He wasn't as much a runner than he is a swimmer, but he manages. He ran as fast as he could to Riona, barely touching her face before she avoided him.

Riona heard the groan of pain and stopped in her tracks, racing back towards Dane and kneeling beside him. "Dane?" She asked in alarm as she rolled him over. "Dane good?" She asked him, her eyes shining with tears that he might possible be hurt.

Dane opened his eyes and smiled, gripping Riona on the waist and placing her on the ground while she was distracted.
