Not Your President's Day for Orange tRump

Next door to Mar-A- Lago, (40- 50 minutes away) is the Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School that suffered a massacre.

He had time to speak to the massacre survivors, and the parents of murdered students. He was in town, and he could have had his people arrange it for him. He has closed venue rallies, often.

He chose to play golf, hide at Mar-A-Lago, and run away to DC, like a coward.

Trump refused invitation to speak on Wednesday in Florida.

"If Donald Trump wants to listen to us, he should have taken the first invitation,” survivor Alex Wind told CNN Monday. “We are not going to come to him. He is going to need to come to us,” he said.

100 people, students and chaperones, travelling to the capital of Florida.

Busloads of students from the Broward County school will travel nearly the length of the state to Tallahassee today and Tuesday to make themselves heard by legislators, an effort being facilitated by Senator Lauren Book of Broward County and former Florida Democratic Party chair Allison Tant.

According to planners, the rally at the Capitol begins at noon and ends at 1 p.m.

Trump planned on a coal country in Pennsylvania for a rally.

Business-news website Bloomberg reported in October that coal production in the U.S. was up 11 percent in the first nine months of 2017. Some companies like Warrior Met Coal, in Alabama, posted large enough profits in 2017 that it announced plans to pay out hundreds of millions in dividends to shareholders.

Feaster says even if coal companies do better in terms of production, thanks to fewer regulations and government agencies helping them, coal-mine owners are still going to focus on profits over hiring more workers. Feaster says this is typical behavior for the coal industry. “As they talk about coal mining, they are also laser-focused on efficiency and cutting jobs. People … are going to focus on the efficiency.”

ooooo! Bad optics...

"President Trump looks forward to visiting with patriotic Americans for a celebratory rally in Pennsylvania at a more appropriate time soon," it continued.
The campaign told the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette earlier this week that the purpose of Trump's planned visit to Ambridge, Pa., was to "deliver the news" about the administration's tax plan and to tout economic success.

"That this White House could be
grateful for the slaughter
says enough all on its own"

"a gun massacre at a Florida high school last Wednesday, which left 17 dead, seemed to shift the media glare away from the Trump scandals and gave embattled aides an opportunity to re-focus on handling a crisis not of their own making.

While the White House mourned the loss of life in Parkland, Fla., some aides privately acknowledged that the tragedy offered a breather from the political storm.

"For everyone, it was a distraction or a reprieve,” said the White House official, who spoke on the condition of anonymity to reflect internal conversations. “A lot of people here felt like it was a reprieve from seven or eight days of just getting pummeled.”

But then there was the president’s response to it. He visited survivors but we wondered if he’d have bothered had the hospital not been so close to his Mar-a-Lago weekend home. He is incapable of projecting compassion. Then the next day he lambasted the FBI, saying it had dropped the ball in Florida because it spent too much time probing Russian influence in the 2016 election.

If the kids at the Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School weren’t livid enough, that really set them off. They saw a president caring more about his own political skin than about the deaths of so many of their friends and class mates. “Their lives were gone in an instant,” one twitter message, apparently from a survivor, said. “You are the President of the United States and you have the audacity to put this on Russia as an excuse. I guess I should expect that from you.”

Ah, yes.

Emperor Carrot Head, Donald, the first of his name, has made the massacre death of students about himself.

In a counter-intuitive move, Emperor Carrot took the focus off of the students and onto the fight he is waging against Mueller's investigation.

Trump’s efforts to persuade the American people that the Russian probe is a hoax was rendered incontrovertibly laughable on Friday when the Justice Department unveiled indictments against 13 Russian nationals and three Russian groups for directly interfering with the 2016 elections.

Every week, Emperor Carrot strikes out at someone. His Trump troll alliance struck at the students. The students are calling attention to him, and his failures.

Emperor Carrot Head played golf while parents buried their children's mutilated bodies.

Emperor Carrot grew up in Queens

"Queens was also a place of ethnic and racial separation. The 1924 federal immigration law aimed to make America more white, Protestant, and Northern European by severely restricting all other immigration."

"Jamaica Estates, where Trump grew up, was an haven for the well-to-do and white, with a stone pillar entrance and imposing homes set back from the tree-lined streets north of Hillside Avenue."

New York Times focused on the exclusionary nature of this exclusive suburb, especially when Mr. Trump lived there: “The Jamaica Estates of Mr. Trump’s boyhood was an exclusive and nearly all-white place, resistant to outsiders and largely impenetrable to minorities,” the Times writes. Mr. Trump called the neighborhood an “oasis” in a previous interview, at a time when “different parts of Queens were rough.”

Jason Horowitz of the New York Times described the Jamaica Estates of the 1950s, it was “an exclusive and nearly all-white place, resistant to outsiders and largely impenetrable to minorities.” Donald Trump himself grew up there, first in a modest home plucked out of a storybook, and then a big brick colonial home about three blocks up from the building where my family would live decades later. His father Fred developed these houses and some others in the neighborhood, and his company owned and managed about a half dozen apartment buildings there.

Ivana sent the children to boarding school during the divorce. Erick was eight years old. In grade school on Manhattan’s Upper West Side, he fought two older classmates who made a crack about his mother.

They spent their summers with Ivana's parents, in Eastern Europe.

The Státní bezpečnost or StB – the then communist state’s intelligence agency which dealt with any activity considered dangerous to the state or of western influence – spied on Trump and his Czechoslovak-born wife, Ivana, in the 1970s and 80s when she made regular trips back to visit her father, Miloš Zelníček.

Czech historian said the fact that Ivana’s father was registered as an “StB confidant” did not mean he worked as an agent for them. “Rather the CSSR authorities forced him to talk to them because of his journeys to the US to see his daughter. If he hadn’t spoken to them he would not have been given permission to fly,” Tomáš Vilímek told Bild
